The parking area was limited to 1 vehicle area---we had 2 large trucks; extra care must be taken to park at the paved parking pad. Nice washer and dryer provided. Cabin was warm and showers were hot. TV selection was nice. Seasonal decor was festive. When driving in it took a few minutes to locate, which was at dusk in the woods.

If anyone has a similar issue with parking there is plenty of parking up the ridge, about a 3 minute walk. Please let me know your concern and we will work on a solution. The movie theater is also up there. Many guests with 2 large vehicles will opt to leave one at cabin and the other up there. Though many guests park in the two spots provided at the cabin. We have also had guests get married on site and invite friends and family. We have had as many as 30 guests parked up the ridge to attend the wedding. We will always try to accommodate as best we can. We appreciate each of our guests and want the best trouble free experience possible. I do agree dogs cannot climb the stairs and would have to be carried. There was just no more room for a larger set of stars 😞. Thank you again for staying at our cabin.

Amazing Host and place

Planned this trip for our 40th Anniversary as we love the area. When we arrived and turned on the drive leading up to the cabin, it was as if we had driven into a painting passing loaded
Apple trees and a beautifully decorated gate dressed for fall. We had a lovely evening relaxing in front of the fire. The cabin was spotless and so cozy. Little did we know that very night the area would be completely devastated by winds and rain from Helene. We woke to trees falling all around and blocking the drive. Our hosts, Jeff and Jennifer called to check on us and came down to try to clear the way out. However the fallen trees were huge and needed larger equipment. They had a generator so immediately invited us Into their home providing us meals, showers and whatever we needed until someone got there to clear the drive. They even took us riding with them once clear to try to find a clear path for us to return home where the hurricane had been also. Over those few tense days, we developed a very unlikely but special friendship we will
Never forget. Jeff and Jennifer went over and beyond to make the best of a difficult situation for all. And it was obvious they were sincerely concerned for us though they suffered much loss through the storm. We hope that someday we will be able to go again when things are better. Thank you Jeff and Jennifer for everything. You’ll always be in our hearts❤️

A Cozy Mountain Retreat
Publié le 20 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to stay! The cabin is small but cozy and had more than enough room to accommodate the three of us. When it was cold and rainy outside, there was nothing better than sitting inside, listening to the rain, and watching the fire. The hosts were also delightful and more than happy to give us advice about where to go in town.
As for location, the cabin is well situated. It’s not too far from Hendersonville and close to most of the major orchards, which made it a nice apple-picking home base. We’re definitely planning on going back!

Quiet Cabin

We couldn’t find the dishwasher.
The cleaning of the place could use some improvement, especially in the tub and bathroom. We found some hair when we turned on the whirlpool tub. So we couldn’t use it.

There isn’t a dishwasher. Somehow that amenity was added as a mistake by me 4 years ago. I hadn’t ever been asked about it. I apologize and have removed the dishwasher amenity from the listing. The tub was sanitized on Thursday evening for 15 minutes with an anti bacterial solution. We would have gladly recleaned the tub had we been made aware.

Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing time! The cabin was cozy, clean and allowed for us to gather with our family or find space to take time alone. The outdoor space is AMAZING and the location is convenient to get to many shops, restaurants, and activities. The cabin also has great activities for kids and a beautiful neighborhood for walks and scenic views. We highly recommend this property for a restful getaway.
