Great place to stay. Quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Only one criticism, no chairs in the room for comfortable sitting, reading ...only a desk chair.

No tv which I guess was listed but you assume that as a standard. No hairdryer in room! For being a place of retreat, halls were pretty noisy! Advertised a restaurant but only served a buffet@$25. Had to drive back into town for lighter fare not something most travelers want to do. Beautiful setting!

This might be the most beautiful property I’ve stayed at. The room and property were spotless. I didn’t realize they had all those walking trails either. There’s a beautiful lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. This will be my new go to place to stay!

Beautiful place very relaxing place but there is no TV in the room which made for a long night lol.

The negative was no micro wave, blow dryer ir iron or tv in the room. I realized the lodge was originally a religious retreat set up for prayer and meditation but if they want to attract more people they could set up one wing of the lodge with a few updated amenities. I loved the Chapel and all the surrounding buildings. The hiking paths and meditation areas are peaceful. They have a fire pit area, a deck with rocking chairs, several water front decks to sit also. I would highly recommend it for someone looking for a spiritual getaway!!

It was a retreat of sorts for us. Kanuga gave us the luxury to slow down, be still, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

For the price, I feel like our stay at Kanuga Inn was worth it, as it truly is a very nice property and facility, however there are a few things I was not as happy with: - Overall cleanliness: Not the cleanest and it is worth noting that on the 2nd night, two red cockroaches were crawling around the sink, one of them crawling out of my bag with my toothbrush, etc - I do have photos of this but the app button to add is not working - Disclosure on website: I wish it was more clear that certain things, like a TV, are not available in the room; This was not a dealbreaker as there are more activities to do on site and we did not spend too much time in room but again, would have been nice if it stated in the room description “no TV available” - Staff support: When mentioning the cockroaches, there was no mention to change rooms, or anything else. It was towards then end of our stay so I guess not much could have been done but it he lack of reaction made it seems like cockroaches in the room should be expected

Tyler, I appreciate your response and I apologize that you thought we did not give you enough attention regarding the pest situation. We do take these matters seriously and early on would offer you a change in accommodations. I have addresses this with our maintenance team and we have no signs of them. In any case I do hope did unwind and unplug in our relaxed atmosphere. We do have TV options in our common spaces and good WIFI through the campus and in all guest rooms and cottages. I hope you can come back sometime if your travels take you to our neck of the woods.
