Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HomeAwayReally great weekend. Jan showed us around and then left us to enjoy ourselves. The lodge was very clean and welcoming. Indoor pool was fantastic as the weather wasn’t the best.
The only downside we had was that the grassed area was very long and not ideal for the 3 children to play with a ball.
Also was not sure where the outdoor was??
But overall great stay.

The heated indoor Pool was clearly a massive hit with all of you and we are pleased that you all loved it so much. Sorry about the outdoor and lawn re the football but we had so much rain in the days before your arrival and all was sodden with water and so we just couldn’t get it cut as short as we would have liked!

Complete Rip off!! Avoid at all costs!!!
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayTotal misrepresentation. Filthy bathrooms with mould. No internet (unless to go to the far corner in the top bed room and sit near the window). HUGE legal documents sent after we had paid in full and could not change. No one allowed to visit us despite the fact that we were trying to meet family, having traveled from Australia. DO NOT USE this place.

This is the Review that we were anticipating from you after your stay with us and the way that you have behaved. Anyone reading our other Reviews will see how widely it differs from our other Reviews including over 100 x 5 Star Reviews on another very well known Travel Website.
You lied about numbers you were booking for when you originally booked. You did not make payments on time. You were organising events to be held at our property, including a party for at least 20. You basically tried to scam us and we have reviewed you as such as other property Owners need to be aware of how you behave.
For the record our excellent cleanliness is regularly praised, our wi-fi is fast and available throughout the Lodge and we don’t send “huge legal documents” – we think that you are referring to our final info pack to enhance our guests stay.

best pool ever

Living room was a bit small but huge back yard to play baseball
volleyball or badminton. Wifi a bit slow but he was going to have them come out once we left. Easy access and exit to town. Fresh
eggs down the rode too. Small water park near by and fishing too.

We are delighted that you all had such a lovely time. All of our guests love the heated indoor swimming pool and enjoy it very much - rain or shine. It really makes time away with family and friends very special and memorable. Wi-fi is now back up to full speed too as we’ve replaced a faulty hub. Look forward to your return visit.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and delighted that the children had all enjoyed the Pool so much when we spoke to them. We are so lucky to be in such beautiful countryside and yet so close to Stratford and Warwick and it’s a real joy to watch people enjoy their holiday time here at the Lodge. Wonderful hosts in a fantastic location
Publié le 26 mai 2021 sur HomeAwayDavid and Jan are fantastic hosts, friendly and accommodating! They made us feel very welcome and generously gave us extra time when we needed it. The location of the house is very peaceful and quiet, with shops and amenities a mere 10 min drive away. The lodge was comfortable and clean and kitchen fully stocked. We enjoyed the pool which is heated and a fabulous size for large parties. We ended our stay with a treat of 2 boxes of delicious organic eggs and wouldn't hesitate to go back again! Thank you very much David and Jan for making our stay so enjoyable :))

So many of our guests comment upon how fantastic it is to be able to enjoy the lovely heated indoor Pool, particularly when it is either raining, or too hot in the sunshine!
The eggs are indeed a wonderful treat from our friends smallholding and although not always available we do enjoy being able to share them with our guests when possible.

A relaxing and quiet getaway
Publié le 21 sept. 2020 sur HomeAwayLing Lodges was fantastic. We needed a quiet place away from the city to relax for a few days and this location was perfect.
The property, grounds and pool were clean and very well maintained, and David, our host was very friendly and accommodating.
The pool is big enough for light swimming and a very pleasant surprise - clean and well maintained with on site changing and toilet facilities.
The local pub is a very pleasant 30 minute walk through the countryside via marked bridal paths and footpaths, (our host was kind enough to give us directions!} and is well worth a visit, for its food and drink and picturesque setting.
The local town is only a 10 minute drive so access to supermarkets and takeaways is easy too!
We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and would definitely visit again!

The private indoor heated swimming pool is always a big hit with our guests as it means that in very hot weather they can cool off - and in bad weather have a game of water polo or similar! The local Pub is great, though in truth we tend to take the 3 minute drive to get to it rather than the walk across the fields 😊😜. Hope to see you all again.

My 40th Birthday Stay at the Lodge
Publié le 1 juill. 2019 sur HomeAway10 girls stayed at the lodge. We were greeted at the Lodge by David, he showed us around the lodge and pool. Showed us the how to open and close the gates. He was very accommodating and anything we needed we texted or rang it was done instantly. David had very kindly bought us a magnum of prosecco and even put it in a ice bucket for us. He had also provided milk, cereal and a few other bits. The lodge is perfectly situated surrounded by beutiful countryside and villages. We looked out the windows to sherp and horses. The lodge has two kitchen areas, plenty if bathrooms for 10 adults and 10 comfortable beds. The lodge us very clean. All of us felt comfortable and st home once we got there, it was very chilled and relaxed. The lodge has a outdoor sitting area which also has s bbq you can use. The pool was just perfect, it's actually larger then it looks in the photo. It was so nice relaxing in the pool, the pool has it's own shower room too. We stayed in and cooked a meal and had a few drinks Friday and then went to Greek restauraunt El Greko on the Saturday (amazing food and Greek dancing). We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay, and the owners couldn't do enough for us. It was just an amazing weekend, we will definitely be going back to the lodge soon on a reunion :). Really cant recommend this place to stay for s break away, perfect for 10 adults and would most definitely bring my family here to stay.

We are indeed lucky to have such beautiful countryside views from the Lodge and yet to be so close to the centre of Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick with all of their hustle and bustle.
El Greco is one of our favourite Restaurants, of the many that we have locally, and we think it just perfect for large groups and so it’s fantastic to hear that you all enjoyed it so much too.

You expect a lot more for what you pay

Thank you for taking the time to write a Review. It does differ quite considerably from Reviews from other guests that have been posted on this website, and on other travel websites too, but we are nevertheless always keen to improve where we are able. Firstly, we were sorry to hear that your friends had to cancel on you and so you had to pay for the Lodge by yourselves.
We did ask you about Pool hours when you first arrived, as we do all of our guests, and you had said that 9am until 9pm each day would be perfect so we’re not sure what you mean by Pool hours being “limited and not convenient” as these were the hours that we had discussed and agreed with you.
We do specifically say on the Website that we do not provide Towels as over the years we have found that people prefer to bring their own. We do have emergency towels though so had you asked we would have been delighted to let you have those.
We have spoken to you since you posted your Review and are re-doing the grout in a shower and repainting this same shower room to ensure we are back to “perfect” again in terms of cleanliness/makeover. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
