We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Loved the barn, the goats and the turkey 🦃 😁

Beautiful!
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HotelsThis was a beautiful getaway! We were only able to stay one night but plan to come back in the winter! We had the opportunity to see a bear as we walked in!

Everything was great! Rooms are a little small and doors very thin so lots of hallway noise but a beautiful property, terrific breakfast and the goats were a ton of fun!

Horrible experience
Publié le 28 juin 2021 sur HotelsThe description of the room was nothing like what i got when I arrived. I paid for what sounded like a great room. What i got was no better than an Econolodge. No TV, broken wifi, no comfy chair to put my feet up and read, room was poorly lit, promised a jetted tub, i got a stand up shower. I would never stay there again.

Charles - I am hoping this was posted before we spoke because you certainly know that we did not falsely promote the room. Also, the wifi was not broken. As soon as I arrived for breakfast service, the dining room server asked me to call you; and as soon as I hung up with you, I went to turn on the dining room music and discovered that the wifi network simply needed to be reset which is a matter of unplugging for 30 seconds. There was no need to fly into a rage, leave without breakfast, and claim that we were deceitful. I texted you immediately to let you know that was the issue and invited you to come back at no charge for the night. I had already refunded you.
We have four room types listed with Expedia, and you paid for and were automatically assigned (via Hotels.com) to a queen with a fireplace. The suite you are describing is another $120 per night. We have two suites with jetted tubs. I appreciate that you brought to my attention that Hotels.com only had two room types listed for our property; they apparently grouped half of our rooms under the suite description which was purely poor management of our listing. We had nothing to do with this. We have only dealt with Expedia, and we only have access to updating our Expedia listing. Expedia apparently channeled our room listings to dozens of their partners. I understand from another guest that a similar problem exists on the American Express site. As a result, we discontinued our presence this week on Expedia and its partner sites because we prefer to book guests directly (which by the way is the same cost to you as what you paid via their sites). By booking directly with us, we can always make sure that our guests are in the room that best fits their needs.
I am surprised by your post and the rage described by the server because you were really pleasant after checking in and prior to heading to your engagement. I do wish that my breakfast server had dealt with your complaints differently, particularly by calling me rather than allowing you to leave unhappy. I can understand that not being able to access wifi is frustrating, but it was a simple fix. She has been shown again how to reset it and I have spoken with her about how your situation was handled. Assuming the worst about people is not a productive approach to any situation.

Loved it

A great place to stay. A very nice old inn with much character. We only stayed one night and didn't have the pleasure of trying the dinner menu, but breakfast was quite good - yogurt with mixed berries and nuts, a muffin that was like pineapple updside-down cake, eggs Benedict, and banana pancakes with bacon. Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was not shared as we have experienced before. We would recommend it!
