🌞 Multiple Family Friendly, Modern Lake House On Deep-Water Cove, 2 Kayaks 🌞

Immaculate modern lake house on deep-water cove just minutes by boat to Jimmy’s Creek and Pea Hill Creek. Beautiful safe cove with main lake views can be seen from the living and dining areas, as well as enjoyed while relaxing on the screened porch. Enjoy night-time fun around the new fire-pit!

The main floor has an open concept with seating for 4 at the granite topped island as well as a separate dining, opening to the living area. Hardwood floors, stainless appliances and granite counters create this modern home away from home, filled with amenities. The main floor master bedroom has a king size bed and a walk in closet. The master bath has a whirlpool tub and separate shower.

Upstairs has 2 large bedrooms, one with bunk beds and a Full (New 2019) bed and the other with a queen size bed and a lake view. These rooms share a large full bath & tub/shower with plenty of storage.

The lower level has a private room with a queen size bed, a furnished game room and an additional full size futon. The lower level also has a full bath. The game room is equipped with a flat screen TV a game cube and ping pong table. There is a walk out to a covered patio for outdoor dining, just steps to the lake. The Weber gas is also available for your cookouts. The kids will be entertained with a ping pong table, TV and Wii. Like the kitchen, all baths are upgraded with granite counters and new cabinets creating a modern feel.

The large dock has 8 feet of water depth, and offers two areas for boat tie-up for your use. Water depth is 3 feet at the steps near the shore to 8 feet at the outer edge of the dock. The calm water cove allows for safe swimming, floating, kayaking and paddle-boarding for worry free water play.

The landscaped back yard is perfect for badminton or Frisbee. The Lantana bushes attract butterflies and hummingbirds in the summer and at night chase the fireflies in the yard with the little ones.

Just a few miles to the public boat launch, there is ample space for multiple vehicles and your boat trailer on our property. Washburn's Mariana is also nearby for your boating needs (and a great morning biscuit!)

2020 Update: Some new things requested by our guests!
- (2) Kayaks for your enjoyment. These are for kids/adults up to 225 lbs, and are the "sit on top" type, so they are easy to use. Please be sure to bring your life preserver if you use them.
- We now have a fire pit! Please keep the hose handy, and make sure it's out before you go in for the evening. (You can get firewood/starter logs at Food Lion).

2019 Update: some great improvements this year!
- Front-porch has been updated with composite decking and new aluminum railing.
- Stainless steel cable railing on the screen porch
- Fresh paint in several rooms, and all carpets and furniture has been professional deep-cleaned.
- BIG NEWS: Our neighbor took down many trees on his lot, which has given us an unbelievable unobstructed view of the main lake!

2018 Update: All decking has been updated and professionally stained by Deck Renew. Larger TV in Den (40"), and wall-mounted it for better viewing. New aluminum railing has been installed. New landscaping and lighting.

2017 Update:
- we added an underwater Fish Light!! After dark, enjoy the soft green glow at the end of the dock and marvel at the fish that it attracts.

2016 Update: This year, we have made these updates/upgrades:
- New Internet Router and high-speed Time Warner service
- New DVD player in Den
- New 32" TV in playroom (connected to Wii, Netflix, Hulu)
- Added HBO and Showtime as ROKU channels, in addition to Netflix and HULU!!

Great House, Great Location
Beautiful home with everything we needed, in an amazing location - barely off the main lake. We loved being able to hop on the boat at the last minute to catch the sunset. We also loved coffee on the screened-in deck with a fabulous view, late afternoons on the dock, evenings making food together at the grill or in the kitchen, and nights at the fire pit and/or basement TV for Wii bowling. We were an over-18 crowd, with our kids and their significant others, but there is definitely something for all ages at this house. Thanks for a wonderful week!

This house was perfect for our family. It was clean, had plenty of room, and well stocked. The dock and water access were great. We loved the “shallow end” for the little ones to swim in without their life jackets or floats. The cove was nice and quiet. Owners communicated very well and quickly.

An Exceptional Place!
We wanted for nothing and enjoyed everything about this beautiful home with outstanding views of Lake Gaston. The owners go to great lengths to provide everything needed … well-stocked pantry, toiletries, laundry soap, streaming services on the TVs, games, and kayaks. There were 8 adults and one Tasmania toddler. The house accommodated all of us comfortably without feeling crowded. We spent most of our time fishing from the dock and on the screened in porch. On a side note, whenever we had a question, Ronnie was always available to provide an answer. He was so genuine in making sure we had everything we needed. We’ve rented vacation homes for many years and this is one of the best we’ve stayed at. Thank you, Ronnie and Jane, for providing such a great place with the all the finer touches. They did not go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated.

Another great vacation
Our family had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful property. The weather was perfect so we could enjoy all the lake activities. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and swimming from the pier. We brought our own boat so we were also able to take the kids tubing on the lake. We love the screened porch with the best view. The house is spacious and nicely furnished. There are tvs on the basement and main levels.

The house was very well stocked. We didn’t need to buy any toiletries during the week. The screened in porch was my favorite spot in the house. It had a great view of the lake. The dock had plenty of chairs & we used the kayaks several times. We were able to dock our boat on the dock which was great & we went to several restaurants. All in all a great house & vacation.

I have stayed in a number of vacation rentals in Oregon and North Carolina. This was by far the best experience. The house is wonderful...I would be happy living in it. The location and view are terrific. The house is immaculate and extremely well-maintained. Our goal was for a relaxing 4 days and we got it. Not an issue for us, but there is little else in the area. Few local restaurants. Watersview Restaurant is a very nice facility with very mediocre, overpriced food. The Pointe at Lake Gaston is kind of a sketchy facility with great food. So pick your poison! One thing to know is that you need to bring your own sheets and towels. Besides that everything else you could possibly want is there, including a well appointed kitchen.

Nice stay for any family
Great place to stay for a family. The cleanliness of the house was outstanding. The pleasant location to the water was relaxing. The only disappointments: none of the bathrooms are connected to the rooms, the master bathroom shower is extra small, and no TV’s in any bedroom. Otherwise everything was great, you can’t go wrong with this choice.

Well stocked, good location
This house was a perfect size for our crew of 12. Plenty of eating/lounging space. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Neighbors on both sides were great people, house was just a short drive to the Food Lion and Gaston Pizza and only a 10 min drive to the Pea Hill boat ramp. Hosts were fantastic and accomodating with great response time!

Fantastic Summer Family Stay
This house was fantastic! The layout worked well for our family. The kids, big and small, lived the dock area and swimming. The porch was the perfect spot to have the first cup of coffee in the morning or nightcap before bed. The setting was so relaxing and we couldn’t have picked a better house on the lake. The owners were awesome too! Easy to chat with and answered questions very promptly. All-in-all, the family agrees best vacay in years!

Extremely well-equipped home, with much to entertain. Comfortable beds, and an ideal layout for generational family set-up (3 floors with their own beds and baths). There was an internet equipment failure on our first night, and the owners contacted us before we even got to contact them about it, and they were there immediately to fix it. Rainy weather still had a great time
The weather did not cooperate for this year’s vacation at Swallow Cove but we still had a Great family vacation. We were able to play games and watch TV shows and movies on the two Roku TVs. Between rain storms We managed to swim from th.pier, paddle the kayaks, and sit out on the screened in porch and enjoy the view. This was our fifth stay at Swallow Cove. The house is immaculate and well furnished for family fun. The kitchen has everything you might need to dine in, and there are restaurants and grocery stores near by. We plan to go back next year.

Maybe the Perfect Lake Gaston Rental
Ronnie and Jane's house at Lake Gaston was absolutely perfect for our two families (7 people total) to have a long weekend end-of-school celebration. The house was spotlessly clean, laid out perfectly on 3 levels for a multi-family stay, equipped with rainy day activities and in the perfect spot on the lake (small cove just off the main lake). Waterfront dock was ideal for swimming, docking our boat and even comes with two kayaks. We may have to make this an annual trip!

Wonderful Week at the Lake
A great property. We had two families(9 total) and there were plenty of spaces to hang out from the screened in porch to the basement area, to the dock (alittle snug when we were all in one room, but we made it work just fine.)The kids really enjoyed the aquaglide! We caught a 5lb catfish, a little bass and a few brim off the dock. The property was well stocked with everyday needs. The grill was in good order and the kitchen was well appointed. Plenty of bathrooms, laundry room and lots of hooks to hang things. Everything we needed for a wonderful week at the lake.
