It is a guest house connected to another home but no one but us was there. If privacy is important just check the other side of home will be vacant during your stay.

Great hosts, great house, and What a View
Publié le 1 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayIf you are a fan or groupie of Lake Superior, cinsider Sky Fire, It is clean and has a very well provided house with everything you need to enjoy the Lake including a spectacular view from the cliff in the yard, It was perfect for us. We were two people and a dog. I particularly like thar the location is away from Bayfield. So it is quiet and peaceful.

I'm sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. The "trash" you speak of was almost certainly our home belongings as we were just moving back into our house from Kansas City. We were in the process of getting the belonging inside. Although there are many wonderful things about living in a forest environment at cliff's edge of Lake Superior, ine of the lesser lovely things is this is where mice like to live as well. Like most everyone who lives up here, we pay for quarterly treatments to hopefully limit the mouse activity in and around the home. Try as we might, the result is rarely 100% successful - nor is anyone who lives up here100% successful. Had you mentioned your dissatisfaction with us at any point during your stay, we would have offered you a refund. Perhaps a hotel would be a better choice for you in the future, Betty.

Trash in yard

Property was completely open including windows. Garage was open. Lots of trash scattered about yard (animals?). Mice in kitchen.
Kind of creepy goat artwork, but that’s personal taste.

Hmmmmmm....sorry you didn't love our place. It seems your sister is the outlier when it comes to your opinion of Sky Fire. I find it unfortunate your sister (who was not the registered guest) didn't mention to us any of her displeasure when she was here. Also, no comment offered here on how I refunded you $500 to be used towards a future stay when you canceled less than seven days before your booked arrival. This credit given to you even though I have a 'strict' cancellation policy that says no refunds so close to your stay date. May your next stay somewhere be more to your liking. And, we love the goat. ;-)

Great location for hikes and relaxing

Before booking, I was a little hesitant because it is a guest house (attached to main house). But other residents were not seen or heard, very respectful of privacy. Would stay again .

charming home with wonderful view

Owner was helpful throughout the stay and even allowed another couple to visit for a few nights of our two week stay. This is such a nice home in a lovely area. We enjoyed both an indoor fire and an outdoor fire. Twice we visited Siskiwit River Falls; we enjoyed the hike so much. If staying in the area, I recommend this beautiful home!

Restful setting
