One week in December
Publié le 21 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the third year that we visited the Apache Point site for a week or more during our winter birding vacations. We enjoy staying here. The large fenced yard has quite a few local birds that come in for the feeders and the location is close to great birding and hiking places. Ramsey Canyon and Ash Canyon are very short drives away, and longer distance hotspots are still only very reasonable distances from here. These include the San Pedro River valley and Whitewater Draw. The facilities are fine and comfortable and include a small sunroom that we used frequently. Security is great, the area is quiet, and the laundry room is handy and an added bonus. The host is friendly and lives on site but is never intrusive.

Great option to camping for area deer hunt

We were hunting deer in the local mountains for four days and wanted an option vs setting up camp, etc. The property interior was clean and well stocked with essentials. Access in and out was very easy for us; plus the neighborhood is quiet and has scenic mountain views.

Lovely bird garden
Publié le 8 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Apache Point ranch house. While drinking my coffee in the morning, I sat in the garden and watched the birds eat the oranges and seeds at their feeders and the hummingbirds too. I saw a blue grosbeak, and a blue hummingbird, red cardinals, summer tanager, male and female and many other colorful birds. That was a magnificent experience worth the trip!

The place was outstanding! We were close to the the local attractions, hiking and conveniences, yet felt like we were miles away from civilzation. We enjoyed our qiet celebration of our wedding anniversary. We are looking forward to coming back! Thank you

Bird Watching Galore
Publié le 6 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayChose property based on proximity to Ramsey Canyon. The bird watching at the Ranch House was far superior to that at Ramsey Canyon! Highly recommend despite being a little rough in amenities. Good Value!

Wonderful location!
Publié le 19 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed the location and the spaciousness of the ranch house. It was nice to be able to spread out, cook our own meals, watch the hummingbirds and quail enjoying numerous bird feeders, and be so close to Carr Canyon and other birding locations.

A bird lover's paradise

It was located close to birding areas we wanted to visit, but was a bit far from stores and restaurants. Being a bit far from businesses however, meant it was nice and quiet and we did appreciate that! The kitchen was a bit sparse on dishes and cups which only meant that we needed to run the dishwasher more often. We would recommend this place!

Great location
Publié le 8 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat site, good house, everything worked. Just need a new mattress on the bed as the current one sinks a lot in the middle. Everything else was very good. Very quiet location which was valued.
