Short Stay in Harvey Bay

The host was friendly and helpful, giving us a quick overview on our arrival and very responsive to any issue. The location is quiet and easily accessible. The property was spacious, comfortable and adequately appointed, suitable for a couple. We would be happy to stay here again.

Home away from home

Nice property in a great location
Publié le 23 août 2019 sur HomeAwayI enjoyed my stay & was very thankful to our hosts for greeting us with bottles of wine & chocolates. Also other goodies, eggs, bread, soft drinks & some kitchen staples.
The only downside of our stay was I didn't like the cooking arrangements & would like to see an upright stove installed in the kitchen rather than the current arrangement. Also we had our peace disturbed constantly by neighbours constantly barking dogs, particularly the small dog. Every day between 3.00pm & 7.00pm it would bark continuously. This was happening just 5-6 feet away from our living room window and was really annoying. Our host did not seem able to manage this. This is the first time I've used this type of accommodation, usually using hotels/motels & caravan parks. I might be reluctant to try it again due to the unruly neighbourhood dogs. While our host had dogs as well, these were not an issue as they only bark when someone comes to their property, but the neighbours dog barks persistently for hours on end when they're not home which is frequent, which became really draining.
