A Jersey Shore Vacation Getatway

The Overlook Cottage, a waterfront retreat with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and New York City skyline. Available year round, our waterfront cottage come fully furnished. Our cozy cottage can accommodate up to four comfortably. The Overlook cottage is no more than ten feet from the water with picturesque views from each patio. Your stay is guaranteed to be a tranquil excursion. The Cottage is less than an hour from New York City by boat, car or public transportation.

The Riverfront Cottages pamper you with a feel of an Island Getaway. Our 60’ dock offers the best striped bass fishing around. Come by boat and we have slips availabe to accomodate you. Just steps away, rent a boat, or take a ride on a charter vessel, party boat, or classic wooden boat excursion. Located within walking distance to Gateway National Recreation Area at Sandy Hook, a 7-mile long peninsula with over 1,600 acres of pristine beach and a spectacular holly forest where over 300 species of migratory shorebirds can be spotted. Spend the day sunbathing and swimming on the wide beaches or enjoy premier surf fishing. Horseshoe Cove on the bay side of Sandy Hook offers plenty of spots to anchor your boat and ideal conditions for kayaking, parasailing, windsurfing and Jet Skiing. The Riverfront Cottages are located under the national landmark, Historic Twin Light Lighthouse, Hartshorne Woods, Henry Hudson Bike Trail and many Zagat rated waterfront restaurants. Park your car or boat on our facility as all area attractions are walking distance and many a few steps away.

The ideal Highlands getaway!
This was my second stay with Gary and my first stay in the Overlook Cottage. Check-in and check-out were flawless. Easy communication with the host is available when needed. The Overlook Cottage is an outstanding place to stay with incredible views of the Shrewsbury River, Sandy Hook and the NYC skyline. I highly recommend this host and properties!

Perfect Long Weekend
I had a meeting in the area for work and decided to make it a small getaway for my family. It was the best trip we've had on a while. Plenty of awesome restaurants in walking distance, as well as a playground and beachfront for the kids to play. The property itself was comfortable and beautiful. The owner was kind and helpful. The ensuite laundry is a bonus, too. Literally not a bad word to say. We'll be back!

The view from the balcony overlooking the water was beautiful! The location is less than 10 mins away from local restaurants & bars. Space was clean and exactly what we needed while we attended a wedding over the weekend.

A Great Jersey Shore Experience
Larry's place is beautiful, clean, and close to many of the restaurants, bars, parks and beaches that I love in the Highlands area. This was my second stay there, and I noticed that he updated some of the appliances. It's a fair value and one of my best vacation rental experiences.

We had a great stay! The view was beautiful, the place was clean and cozy. The neighborhood was really quiet and a great seafood restaurant called Bahrs was down the street! It was an an absolutely great experience and Gary and the groundkeeper were so helpful in answering questions and were so available to us. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Patient and Wonderful Hosts
We were stuck in traffic and arrived an hour later than we had planned. The hosts said that it was no worry at all. The house was exactly as advertised and we had an amazing time. We only stayed one night, but honestly we wish we would’ve stayed longer.

We really enjoyed the stay here. It was very clean and quiet. The people at the property were friendly and helpful. Food within walking distance. The pass to Sandy Hook was nice to have. The only thing we didn’t anticipate was the steep set of stairs to get in and out of the apartment.

We booked this as an overnight stop on a longer trip, but we would love to have had longer. We enjoyed watching the boats from the deck and walking through the beautiful coastal neighborhood. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
