Beautiful Highlands cabin! 8 min to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space

Little Pine House is in a beautiful private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is a cul de sac neighborhood so there’s no thru traffic. Lots of out door space. Great for walking- beautiful views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home was built in 1950 and has most of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat, private lot that’s great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is a favorite spot. There is also plenty of parking for up to 4 cars. We are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, about only 15 to 20 minutes from Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. The wonderful Skyline lodge and Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely hope you will too!

The best!
This is simply the best. It’s beautiful and comfortable and includes everything you could possibly need. The setting is just lovely and the neighborhood is special. But what sets this apart from others are the hosts. They are exceptional. Kind and thoughtful and generous. They were so understanding when s hurricane delayed us. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! And I would definitely come here again. Just perfect thank you Neely and Jennings

Get away from it all without being too far from town!
This mountain home is the perfect place to unplug. We lived on the screened porch enjoying movies and a fire - we enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and found the beds comfortable. The decor is beautiful and the home is very well kept. The neighborhood and quiet and peaceful, but stores and restaurants are a quick drive away. There is a hiking trail right near the home. We'd definitely return!

Birthday Weekend at the Little Pine House
Everything about our stay was simply perfect. From the ease of booking and the communication with Neely and Jennings before and during our trip. They are the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make my birthday special. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. All the little touches make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home rather than a rental. The cabin is so cozy and there are lots of places to hang out. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and everyone slept well during our trip. We enjoyed the coffee bar, beverage fridge and the luxury soaps in the bathrooms. We are already talking about coming back for a longer trip.

Magical Getaway!
Hard to know where to start! We had the BEST time here for a quick little family getaway after Thanksgiving. Our kids loved the hammocks and outdoor fire pit area. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. So many thoughtful little touches throughout the house that show how much the owners care about your stay! I'm so sad to leave! We will definitely come back.

A slice of heaven
The cabin was spectacular, from the decor, to all the extra special touches. We felt right at home from the minute we opened the door. We spent a lot of our time on the back porch, watching TV and enjoying the warm fire place. Then retiring to the cozy living room for a movie and dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we would need. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Private Getaway
We enjoyed our 3 night get-a-way with our 3 young children so much at the Highlands Cozy Pine Cabin. The screened porch with wood-burning fireplace (wood provided) and large TV was our favorite place to hang out. We could sit on the porch while our kids played outside in the woods, all within sight of the porch but still secluded enough from the other properties. The kitchen's high-end KitchenAid appliances and ice machine were a nice upgrade to the smaller kitchen, and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items needed for our family of 5. I also greatly appreciated the provided coffee items for drip or Keurig as well as the mini-fridge of drinks on the porch. The cabin was beautifully designed & decorated and since we visited in November, it was also tastefully decorated with Pumpkins, seasonal candles, and other Fall themed items which really helped set the scene for our visit. We truly enjoyed our time and hope to visit again soon!

This cabin was a fabulous rental. It is in a beautiful neighborhood that is walkable and very quiet. The cabin was so comfortable and the screened porch with the fireplace was extremely relaxing. The attention to details of what you would need was superb. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beverage station was a plus. Would highly recommend this cabin.

The coziest cabin!!
This was our second stay in this cozy cabin. WE LOVE IT! The hospitality from the owners is unmatched!!! They are available for anything you might need. The fireplace on the screen porch is our favorite! The home has a cozy cabin feel with a beautiful updated kitchen! The house is stocked with all the essentials. Which is such a treat and so nice. The property is in the most quiet and quaint neighborhood convenient to all the mountain towns. We will be back soon!!!

Close to DT Highlands, this house is great. The owners definitely extend themselves to make sure you have a great time. Wonderful house with 3 bedrooms. Spacious and great indoor/outdoor patio area with fireplace. We will be back! Great spot.

Quaint Cottage close to Highlands
The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Owners supplied just about everything you need for a nice weekend getaway with friends. Really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar, lots of firewood to burn and cleanliness of house. We will definitely rent again.

Convenient lovely Mountain Cottage
Loved our stay at the Pine Cottage. The location was excellent and close to Highlands. Our hosts, Neeley, and Jennings were very easy to work with and have provided everything you could possible need and then some. We loved the quiet neighborhood and there is ample parking which is not always easy to find in a mountain rental. The only suggestion I would make is to have the house cleaners to vacuum under the tables and chairs. Other than that the cabin was very clean.

Nice place, up the mountain, surrounded by quiet and green. Enjoyed the porch in the morning and evening and the outside wood fireplace with a full stack of wood and large screen TV, even a small drink cooler. Inside the gas fireplace and large screen TV was great. Had a fantastic coffee bar and everything you might need in the kitchen.

Very nice property. Master bed was a bit worn. We moved to another bedroom after night 1. Best stocked unit we have ever rented. It had everything. Under counter ice machine did not work. We have a similar at home. Tried twice to call the property manager. No answer and no response. We just bought ice. No problem. Glad we did not have a major problem for mgr.

The cottage was really well decorated and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with every possible utensil, and plates, glasses, and appliances were above average.It was a bit further from town than I expected, but it really didn’t bother me that much. My biggest problem was the the small second bathroom. The master bath is roomy and very good for two people. The second bathroom which must be shared by the people in the other two bedrooms is very small. I was using it by myself and found it very cramped for space. I can’t imagine if the other bedroom had been occupied how that would have worked. The second and third bedrooms have large enough beds, but you can only get out of the beds on one side, so if two

Wonderful stay!
I reserved this house for a small birthday celebration and it was simply perfect! It is just the right size in the right location in between Cashiers and the Highlands making it so easy to get to both. The kitchen is all top end appliances with anything and everything you need. With every room having their own TVs and easy parking, this house leaves you needing nothing for your visit. The fireplaces make the stay feel mountainy cozy and the house is so quaint that I don’t think the pictures do it justice. You can’t go wrong with this rental!

Awesome porch!
We had a great trip to Highlands thanks to Neely and Jennings. The house was spotless and well equipped. We stayed two nights, had breakfast one morning and dinner one night at the house. The neighborhood was very quiet and walkable with a short drive to town. We loved the screened in porch with the fireplace and tin roof! It was the perfect spot for a cool rainy day. Neely and Jennings were great communicators. Once we checked in we didn’t have any questions or issues with the house, everything was well marked.

Perfect Stay
The house is wonderful - master is separate from the other bedrooms which we liked, big TVs in bedrooms/living area/porch. Everything was there we needed to cook a few meals. kitchens opens up into the living area so you’re not separated when cooking, etc. The back porch was great for fires and watching TV any time of day. The owners were extremely nice and great at communicating - one of our best experiences ever with owners. Quick drive into town which the town is great which most folks already know. Grabbed a take out pizza one night and by the time we got home it was still hot. If you love hiking it’s a great spot and there is even a solid hike (Ranger Falls) about a 2 minute drive from the house. Perfect place and experience…you won’t be disappointed with this house!

Fabulous Time!
This house has it all. Darling furnishings, cozy quaint home. It is truly set up for the ultimate weekend experience. Every detail accounted for such ease, felt like home. The back porch is adorable and the roaring fires made for lovely early mornings and evenings for our kids and dogs. We hosted our adult children and will definitely be back! Thank you!
