Beautiful Highlands cabin! 8 min to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space

Little Pine House is in a beautiful private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is a cul de sac neighborhood so there’s no thru traffic. Lots of out door space. Great for walking- beautiful views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home was built in 1950 and has most of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat, private lot that’s great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is a favorite spot. There is also plenty of parking for up to 4 cars. We are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, about only 15 to 20 minutes from Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. The wonderful Skyline lodge and Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely hope you will too!

Great mountain retreat
We loved this adorable mountain cottage. It had everything that you could want. Very well decorated and private. The owners did a great job having all the extra touches for our stay. We lived on the screened in porch enjoying the fires. We will return!

Cozy, Comfortable, and Safe!
I was visiting Highlands as the Hurricane approached and needed to wait it out in the house. We lost power but with fireplace (wood provided) and abundance of lanterns, batteries and candles was able to manage fine. I felt safe and secure in this home and glad it survived without any damage I could see— except tree damage. The owners were very helpful and worked with me to arrive early and depart when I could to avoid the worst. They also provided drinks in a small refrigerator that I appreciated during the blackout. I do hope to return to this sweet home. The neighborhood is very friendly and all helped each other during the storm.

The Little Pine Cabin is perfect in every way!
Two very dear friends and I finally managed a long weekend away. While I was a bit nervous about finding just the right place, my fears were quickly alleviated the moment we arrived. The cabin is located in a quiet, private and peaceful neighborhood where we felt very safe, and where downtown Highlands was just a short and easy drive away. Once inside the cabin is absolutely adorable, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen has new, high end appliances, and is well stocked with nearly everything you could need or want. The coffee bar is also stocked with a variety of coffees, creamer, assorted beautiful mugs and drip and pod coffee makers. The screened porch is a lovely spot to relax with a wood burning fireplace and comfy furniture, as well as a beverage refrigerator filled with water, soda, seltzer, juice, and wine. The owners of the cabin take great care of their home and their guests with easy communications, and by providing everything from nice, large size hand soaps, shampoo, and body wash, to a nice bottle of wine, frosted mugs in the freezer, and cozy throws in a basket in the den. The bedding and pillow were all excellent quality and very comfortable. There is so much to enjoy at The Little Pine Cabin that we just didn’t have enough time for, including the outdoor fire pit, hammocks, and a nice yard for kids or pups. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. My friends and I heartily agree that visiting The Little Pine Cabin was time and money well spent.

Peaceful Getaway
My wife and I love Highlands and the surrounding area. By the end of August, we have had all the summer heat we can stand. This cabin was the medicine we needed! It is beautiful, well appointed, not too far from town. The weather was perfect. A couple of days of soft rain made the screened in patio feel like a piece of heaven. We'll be back!

The best!
This is simply the best. It’s beautiful and comfortable and includes everything you could possibly need. The setting is just lovely and the neighborhood is special. But what sets this apart from others are the hosts. They are exceptional. Kind and thoughtful and generous. They were so understanding when s hurricane delayed us. Get away from it all without being too far from town!
This mountain home is the perfect place to unplug. We lived on the screened porch enjoying movies and a fire - we enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and found the beds comfortable. The decor is beautiful and the home is very well kept. The neighborhood and quiet and peaceful, but stores and restaurants are a quick drive away. There is a hiking trail right near the home. We'd definitely return!

Birthday Weekend at the Little Pine House
Everything about our stay was simply perfect. From the ease of booking and the communication with Neely and Jennings before and during our trip. They are the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make my birthday special. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. All the little touches make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home rather than a rental. The cabin is so cozy and there are lots of places to hang out. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and everyone slept well during our trip. We enjoyed the coffee bar, beverage fridge and the luxury soaps in the bathrooms. We are already talking about coming back for a longer trip.

Magical Getaway!
Hard to know where to start! We had the BEST time here for a quick little family getaway after Thanksgiving. Our kids loved the hammocks and outdoor fire pit area. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. So many thoughtful little touches throughout the house that show how much the owners care about your stay! I'm so sad to leave! We will definitely come back.

A slice of heaven
The cabin was spectacular, from the decor, to all the extra special touches. We felt right at home from the minute we opened the door. We spent a lot of our time on the back porch, watching TV and enjoying the warm fire place. Then retiring to the cozy living room for a movie and dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we would need. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Private Getaway
We enjoyed our 3 night get-a-way with our 3 young children so much at the Highlands Cozy Pine Cabin. The screened porch with wood-burning fireplace (wood provided) and large TV was our favorite place to hang out. We could sit on the porch while our kids played outside in the woods, all within sight of the porch but still secluded enough from the other properties. The kitchen's high-end KitchenAid appliances and ice machine were a nice upgrade to the smaller kitchen, and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items needed for our family of 5. I also greatly appreciated the provided coffee items for drip or Keurig as well as the mini-fridge of drinks on the porch. The cabin was beautifully designed & decorated and since we visited in November, it was also tastefully decorated with Pumpkins, seasonal candles, and other Fall themed items which really helped set the scene for our visit. We truly enjoyed our time and hope to visit again soon!

This cabin was a fabulous rental. It is in a beautiful neighborhood that is walkable and very quiet. The cabin was so comfortable and the screened porch with the fireplace was extremely relaxing. The coziest cabin!!
This was our second stay in this cozy cabin. WE LOVE IT! The hospitality from the owners is unmatched!!! They are available for anything you might need. The fireplace on the screen porch is our favorite! The home has a cozy cabin feel with a beautiful updated kitchen! The house is stocked with all the essentials. Which is such a treat and so nice. Quaint Cottage close to Highlands
The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Owners supplied just about everything you need for a nice weekend getaway with friends. Really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar, lots of firewood to burn and cleanliness of house. We will definitely rent again.

Convenient lovely Mountain Cottage
Loved our stay at the Pine Cottage. The location was excellent and close to Highlands. Our hosts, Neeley, and Jennings were very easy to work with and have provided everything you could possible need and then some. We loved the quiet neighborhood and there is ample parking which is not always easy to find in a mountain rental. The only suggestion I would make is to have the house cleaners to vacuum under the tables and chairs. Other than that the cabin was very clean.

Enjoyed the porch in the morning and evening and the outside wood fireplace with a full stack of wood and large screen TV, even a small drink cooler. Very nice property. Master bed was a bit worn. We moved to another bedroom after night 1. Best stocked unit we have ever rented. It had everything. Under counter ice machine did not work. We have a similar at home. Tried twice to call the property manager. No answer and no response. We just bought ice. No problem. Glad we did not have a major problem for mgr.

The cottage was really well decorated and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with every possible utensil, and plates, glasses, and appliances were above average.It was a bit further from town than I expected, but it really didn’t bother me that much. My biggest problem was the the small second bathroom. The master bath is roomy and very good for two people. The second bathroom which must be shared by the people in the other two bedrooms is very small. I was using it by myself and found it very cramped for space. I can’t imagine if the other bedroom had been occupied how that would have worked. The second and third bedrooms have large enough beds, but you can only get out of the beds on one side, so if two

Wonderful stay!
I reserved this house for a small birthday celebration and it was simply perfect! It is just the right size in the right location in between Cashiers and the Highlands making it so easy to get to both. The kitchen is all top end appliances with anything and everything you need. With every room having their own TVs and easy parking, this house leaves you needing nothing for your visit. The fireplaces make the stay feel mountainy cozy and the house is so quaint that I don’t think the pictures do it justice. You can’t go wrong with this rental!
