Ms Prescott, First, I wanted to address things that need to be checked and repaired by a rental agent. The rental office was in turmoil due to the death of one of the agency's owners. We're a small three-person team, and I am so sorry that everything wasn't to your liking. Maison Rouge's owners have made every attempt to make sure everything is perfect for their guests. The next part is directly from the owner of Maison Rouge. "This reviewer must be extremely confused or disoriented--or both. The listing photos are accurate and clearly show the home has three levels. Also, the property description clearly and precisely explains the home has three levels. (Is it possible the guest did not even look at the photos or read the property description before booking? The exterior steps down to the lake are a regular-sized traditional staircase. The lower level bath has a pedestal sink, a toilet, and a compartmentalized ceramic tile shower as shown in the photos. There are two thermostats in the home (explained in the guest manual) and both upstairs bedrooms (along with the entire house) have gas-fired forced air heating systems. (The upstairs bathroom has an additional heat fan for added guest comfort on chilly mornings.) Sorry the guest did not know how to use the thermostats or the fireplace remote. (If needed, spare remote batteries are located in the closet.) If the guest had trouble, a simple phone call to management is all that was needed. Instead, the guest chose to leave a negative public review--riddled not only with spelling and punctuation errors--but containing absolutely untrue information with significant misrepresentations about the home. Reviews like this one are where a grain of salt comes in handy.
