Hotel in bad conditions

Hôtel well located on the beach. But this hotel is not well maintained... the balcony was very dirty, with a lot a pigeons

Not a 4 star hotel experience

The whole place was just really work out and there was just alot of things that were wrong about the place. When we arrived they had not recieved our booking from hotels.com and asked us to pay a fee for them to sort it out, which is just unreasonable. However they did upgrade us to a suite, which was nice. Service was not the best. They advertise the place as a spa resort, but the spa and its only staff member was unproffessional in my eyes. We complained but did not feel like the management actually did anything about the issues. In the pictures on the website, it is also stated that they have a gym, but this gym turned out to be so poorly maintained that i dont even think its safe to use. Food was good, but they did not have many of the dishes displayed in the menue. A stunning view, but kind of far from everything.

I am disgusted in this property. I spent $208 AUS, booked on Expedia and then refused a room when I showed to the hotel because there was no room AND refused a refund.

Low Quality Hotel at High price

Lavanga claims to be a 4 Star hotel however that was not the case. I arrived at the hotel on 30 Dec and find that rooms I have requested months ago to accommodate 2 wheelchair people was not allocated. I spent 2 hours at check in trying to get rooms allocated. The manager asked me to "make do"with the rooms with stairs although he knew I had people bound to a wheelchair. The hotel itself is in poor condition. Untidy cement floors, old dirty furniture and carpets, broken glass and dirty windows. My toilet blocked up everyday until I checked out. It seems like the gym has not been used for decades with all equipment rusted. Cutlery was extremely dirty. I had to wipe everything before I used it. The staff I found to be arrogant and unfriendly and the guys at the reception counter seemed confused all the time. I am definitely not visiting here again. This hotel was a trap and I feel I paid too much for a Hostel type experience.

The hotel is in a great location on the beach but it old and very tired. Lots of staff but not doing much, nothing seemed to work as it should. It cost me $150 a night which was very over priced

Hotel met alle comfort en heel goede service..kregen gratis update vd kamer alsook een namiddag later uitchecken..eten is ook super!

Nice place to stay with friendly staff

Some constuction work was going on around the pool so not all facilities was available. Quite good wifi coverage (but not good enough to watch videos) Good breakfast (generally good food).

Could be great but... If you're looking for a hotel with a pool bar and a rooftop bar despite the information its none existent. Well, they have them but they are closed, both of them. The lobby looks great and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are also not that bad. But they definitely need some maintenance. I wouldn't take my children here because if you look close at the lighting that's mounted to the palm trees next to the pool you find that they have live wires lying on the ground just a few meters from the actual pool. Water and current isn't a good combination it is a potential death trap. Multiple times we ordered something in the restaurant just to be informed that they couldn't serve that dish, the same thing happened in the bar. But the view from the room facing the ocean is 100% magical. If the lovered the price I wouldn't be so picky but since they are in comparison semi-expensive they should at least offer semi-total quality.
