This quaint cottage is nestled in the woods of Cowan Lake State Park and features room for 4 adults with 1 private bedroom, 1 queen sofa bed and 1 full bath. Features include a fully appointed Kitchen, screened in rear porch, stone patio for entertaining, flat screen TV with WIFI, hardwood floors throughout, large vaulted great room with knotty pine ceilings, workspace, Keurig coffee maker.

Cowan State Park borders the property and close to hiking trails, public beach, marina and great fishing. The World Equestrian Center sits 5 miles from the cabin.

Definitely a hideaway
A cute cabin in the woods, has some quirks from a few creative DIY projects. Google Maps will not take you directly to the location of the cabin so it took some adventuring to find where we were supposed to be staying. It was an overall good experience .

French Bulldog row
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rather than staying at a boring hotel I looked and found my first air b and b. We were in Ohio to attend the national French Bulldog show. Two other cabins also were there for the same reason. It was wonderful to be able to cook our own meals and “get away from it all” The kitchen was well appointed, with a lot of cooking essentials- a cariety of spices, utensils and even olive oil and cooking sprays. Next time I won’t have to bring so much! We could have used some instructions on using certain things- the fireplace , the Keurig. The queen sized pull out bed in living room? Never did figure that one out. I just assumed that “sleeps 4” meant 2 adults in the bedroom and two children on the living room couch we noted that there was no fire extinguisher and did not see any smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors a slat on the vertical blinds at the patio door fell off soon after our arrival. I could tell it had been repaired before as there was tape on the slat. I did not try to fix it again The overhead fan in the living room did not work. We trued the remote we found on the wall with no luck The spotlights outside for the patio area appeared to be burned out. We tried multiple switches and never could get those lights on. It would have been nice to have the whole backyard illuminated, as the surface was not level. we tried to use the gas grill, but it never heated up sufficiently Bottom line- we loved our stay

Just what I needed for myself & my 2 dogs to relax. My unfamilarity with the streaming service prompted me to disconnect from my TV "addiction". The cabin's location was a perfect inbetween spot between Cincinnati & Springfield.

Our trip was focused on Indian mounds in Ohio. This cabin was the perfect location for that trip. Easy to get around the area and an easy trip to Dayton. Cabin was clean with nice amenities. We loved the bottled water provided for coffee/tea and the fabulous fire pit in the yard. Made for lovely evenings by the fire.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable
We visited the area with our dog for a winter weekend R&R. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We had a distant view of the lake. It was a short drive to the lake where we took our dog for walks. Really great communication with the owners. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It's very hidden, but we enjoyed that. It was clean and had everything we needed, plus a fenced yard for our dog. The trash panda is so cute and just hangs out on the tree in the back. There's no real view of the lake, too many trees. We did wish there would of been a path down but other wise we loved our stay.

Absolutely wonderful
This place is so absolutely perfect. If you want to relax and just enjoy, this is the place to go. We had 2 big dogs with us. The back is fenced in. It’s simply perfect. Loved the communication with owners. Wonderful people. We will definitely be back soon!!

This was a great place to hang out. Nice woodsy setting, quiet, easy to access and just a real homey cabin with everything you need. You could visit the nearby small towns and restaurants or were within 30 minutes of larger city amenities. Recommend a stay highly

Grandma and Grampy’s visit
Very quaint cozy cottage, felt right at home. Other than the cobwebs and dust up around the ceiling and ceiling fan and crumbs in the oven, everything was very clean, the mattress was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We could barely see the lake due to obstruction of the leaves but once the leaves fall I am sure it would be more visible. We enjoyed the back screened in porch too. Our main problem is to convince our Granddaughter that we don’t live there, she loved it too! Overall we would love to visit again soon, glad we found this listing and that it allowed pets, our fur baby enjoyed it too!
