Celebration of Life for my Dad Nelson
Publié le 20 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe decided to rent a beach house to house a few family members who flew over from Catalina Island to come to my Dad's Celebration of Life! Both my Aunt and Uncle from Catalina Island are 87 and 90 Years old. The house was very comfortable and easily accessible with a cane. Although we did experience some rainfall having the rocks embedded in the entrance floor and stairs made it easy for them to go up and down the stairs. My mother and I took advantage of the Kayaks and stand up paddle board one afternoon and it was so nice to be right there across from the beach! Mahalo and will recommend to others.

Publié le 3 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayConvenient location and walk to the beach, we watched surfers from the front window. Spacious, we had 8 adults and the rooms were comfortable. The house has lots of character… it was everything we needed and more! Beautiful stay!

Nice, but not what expected
Publié le 18 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy filters had for an air-conditioned home. This house has no air-conditioning. If you are hot natured, you will not be happy here except a few nights . Even with fans, the house was very warm and extremely damp the entire time. The dryer did not work.. It is an older home, so it does show a little bit of wear, but a beautiful location, beds were comfortable, sofas sink badly when sitting. could use a board under the cushions. Would be great for a large family, but again, very hot and humid. Could not use the kayak as it was full of water, nor the bikes, as there was no way to pump up the tires.

I strive for consistent 5 star stays so I'm certainly quite disappointed to see a 3 star review. There are very few homes with air conditioning and my house doesn't advertise it. Most people prefer all the windows open so there hear the ocean. The bikes were working a few weeks ago and there is absolutely a bike pump there. I'll check it out. The kayak is new. You just had to tip out the rain water to use it. The couch is a matter of preference. It is a normal couch. None of these are reasons for such a horrible review.

A relaxing home away from home

We loved Hilo
Publié le 5 août 2023 sur HomeAwayReally enjoyed our stay in the house. Especially great location for early morning and late walks near the water. We made good use of the kayaks and appreciated the life jackets and water shoes. Noticed a few previous reviews made comments about tropical bugs, but we didn’t see anything like that! We stayed cool in the house in late July. Hope to be back.
