Peaceful, tranquil & quiet !
Loved the view and easy access for the nearby boat ramp. Being able to moore our boat on the private jetty on this property is definately a bonus.
Amazing birdlife at harmony with natural surroundings. A pleasure to watch & observe.
Plenty of fish caught directly off the jetty (mullaway, black bream, salmon trout) all slightly undersize so they were released back to the water. It was lovely to explore the channel & surrounding waters both by boat & canoe.
The house was generous in size & very nicely presented, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, water was hot for showers etc.
Would definately recommend a stay here & I'm pretty sure we will be back in the near future for another holiday.

Not as expected

This is apparently a known problem because there are instructions on how to fix it when it breaks. Followed the instructions carefully many times, plus many alternative ideas, but to no avail. Called the help number and left a message, but no response. Being unable to take a shower after you've been fishing all day is pretty unpleasant.
Batteries in the aircon remote were flat, so decided to light the fire. Drove off to Goolwa to get some wood (there's wood at the house but if you use any you have to replace it), but should have also bought some kindling, so not a success. Did some battery juggling from my torch and finally got the A/C (and TV remote) working, but couldn't face another day's fishing without a shower.
Overall, not quite what I had in mind for $250 a night.

Peace and a water view

Perfect Getaway

My family enjoyed kayaking, fishing, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit and the games shed. I loved waking up everyday and seeing Pelicans, swans and seagulls on the lake. It was perfect to unwind and relax. The only negative I have is the out of the way drive to collect and drop off keys. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Great facilities
Publié le 26 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property we well presented and had so many activities generally provided for by the property owners. We had a great time canoeing and fishing off the jetty and playing with the air hockey, darts and table tennis. A very peacefully and relaxing location with everything you could need. The location is quite remote, but that's part of the relaxing appeal. With so much provided for by the owners you don't really need to leave anyway.
My only negative would be as many others have said, the key pick up and drop off is far to far away. Please please get a lock box on the property or a key collection in Goolwa. Travelling 30minutes out of our way to collect and drop of keys puts a dampner on an otherwise great holiday.

Great spot!
Publié le 6 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayMagical spot. Right on the Coorong, with the Murray mouth only a 5 minute walk away down a small trail. Very relaxing, great for kids and adults. Very quiet spot on Hindmarsh Island. We will definitely stay there again.

Not Happy!!
Publié le 20 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayOn arrival we had no hot water for the first 24 hours, causing two of my guests to leave. After being advised how to restart the hot water system it continued to cut off many times a day and I would have to turn off the system and wait 20 minutes to restart. After trying again to contact harcourts with the hot water problem and not receiving any reply I left the accommodation early as it was just too annoying. I contacted harcourts prior to my trip to find out if the accommodation had been impacted by the floods, I was told no it had not been impacted, this was a lie!!! The water was hugely impacted and too dangerous for any form of water activity, which was why I booked the accommodation in the first place. I was relying on my children being entertained with water fun (as advertised) but the water was unsafe due to extreme currents and condition of water. As water activities were not possible I tried to entertain my children with table tennis and air hockey, this was not possible as the air hockey was not working, which was another disappointment. One of the bedrooms fly screens was not connected at the bottom, therefore the house filled with mosquitoes over night and everyone was covered with mosquito bites. I have tried to communicate with harcourts after returning home and had no reply. I have used Stayz many times with no problems but this is not acceptable I will be taking this further!

We are sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your stay and if there was a lack of communication. Our experience is that the hot water turning off only happens infrequently. The information booklet at the property also outlines how it can be reset within 30 seconds. The guests staying immediately before and after have not reported these issues and in fact provided positive feedback. The water was high and the current was slightly stronger than normal, however, there were no restrictions on water activity in this area at the time. Other families with young children on Mundoo Channel Drive were noted enjoying water activities over this period.

Lovely riverfront property
Publié le 11 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is well equipped, kitchen and facilities are great. Kids loved the canoes and stand up paddleboards, plus table tennis and airhockey. Owners even put some xmas decs (as we stayed over Xmas). Property needs window furnishings in living areas. Also note should be put on website to tell you that you cannot use a jetski from the property - only ski boat / fishing boat.

Lovely property everything one needs provided. Unfair check in process

The checkin and checkout process is a little inconvenient with key pick up and return being a 20-30 minute drive away and not allowed to pick up key earlier. So in effect you don't get to enter the property at 2. Every minute counts if you're not staying a long time. And it meant we had to retrace our steps and change our plans on our departure day. should consider a lock box option.
