Custom, fully legal 1 bedroom basement apartment with private entrance. With 10 foot ceilings and several large above ground windows, this apartment is the perfect base camp for anyone wanting to visit Jasper National Park which is 45 minute drive west of Hinton

This apartment , built in July 2022, features modern amenities carefully chosen with your comfort in mind and cleanliness is my top priority
The space
After you experience the stunningly scenic 45 minute drive from Hinton to Jasper National Park you'll know why it's one of my favourite drives in the world!

This custom spec-house was built in July 2022 and the basement has been finished into a fully legal apartment complete with independent furnace/thermostat, full size washer and dryer, electric driveway parking (1 stall) , private side entrance, dishwasher, and electrical panel. Nothing about this apartment makes it feel like it’s in a basement

Please note that there is no centralized air conditioning. There is centralized venting bringing in cool air from the outside and a stand up fan is provided in the bedroom for your comfort.

- Scheduled exterior lights for ease of entry
- Exterior shed with lock for storage of large items (please refrain from bringing large items into the apartment. Shed is on back order. It has arrived and installation is expected no later than September 10 2022 )

- 'Forgot me' basket with toiletry essentials
- Colour changing dimming lights from warm to bright white; turn light switch off then back on with-in 5 seconds to activate

- Independent private BBQ. Upstairs tenant has their own private BBQ

- High speed 1 GB internet; fastest recorded download/upload speeds of 868/822 MBPS (Speeds will always vary depending on multiple conditions but should never drop below 100 MBPS)
- Exterior security/CCTV
- Very friendly, quiet, and safe neighbourhood
- House is located at the end of a cul de sac with majority foot traffic and very little vehicular traffic
- Smart WIFI locks with auto lock. No keys required and never be locked out

I strive to make this stay as comfortable as possible but if I've missed something, please do not hesitate to ask for it ahead of your arrival. If you need it, others may as well!

Well stocked with several flavours of coffee and tea

Cleaning supplies, garbage bags, recycling bags, laundry and dishwasher detergent, dryer sheets, extra towels


Both of the couches in the living room fold down into firm full size beds; 'bed in a bag' linen as well as 2 inch foam mattress toppers provided to make them especially comfortable

There are no SkipTheDishes drivers however, there are several restaurants that offer delivery for your usuals including my favourite, Rojo Marron Mexican restaurant, pizza, and Chinese food

We stayed in this basement suite for one night. It was great! It was very clean, had a separate entrance, good communication to get into the place, and was in a quiet neighbourhood. Since no one else was staying upstairs, I couldn't comment whether the noise would travel downstairs. I would definitely stay again, though.

Property was really clean. Just 2 bad points. 1.Pull out couch was very uncomfortable. It had a lot of humps . I sleep in tents and this was more uncomfortable than a sleeping pad. 2. Upstairs noise was travelling downstairs
