Kick back and relax in our stylish Penthouse apartment. Situated on the exclusive West coast Estate of Sugar Hill, and including owners Beach Club Membership at the Iconic 5* Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel, complimentary to our guests.

On entering Sugar Hill you will step into an oasis of serenity and beauty. Surrounded by over 50 acres of beautiful, manicured gardens with an abundance of majestic swaying palm trees. Tropical birds, tree frogs, geckos, parrots and even green monkeys habitat this delightful environment.
The main focal point is the Clubhouse, with its amazing infinity pool and popular restaurant called ‘The Deck’. This superb setting overlooks the sea and is perfect for that sundowner or two and a great place for meeting people. There is a fully equipped Gym, with shower and changing facilities. Four floodlit tennis courts, a small convenience store, and 24 security all available complementary to our guests. The second of the pools is very close to our apartment. This tranquil environment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day, either at the beach or exploring.

As hard as it may be to leave the beautiful pools, our owners Beach Club Membership is available for our guests to use at the 5* Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel. This includes very comfortable sun beds, beach umbrellas, shower and toilet facilities, car parking, beach bar and restaurant. Water sports are available at a discounted rate, as is food by showing your membership card. Less than 4 mins drive away.

Holetown is Ideally situated 5 minutes away by car, with an abundance of restaurants to suit any budget. Fine dining, local Bajan dishes, supermarket, banks, cinema, medical centre, shops, designer shopping and local crafts. Speightstown is less than 10 mins by car away with fabulous eateries and bars too. In fact our coastline is scattered with some wonderful bars and restaurants.

In our opinion, the most impressive aspect of our apartment is the private outside living space. With sumptuous furniture providing ultimate comfort and total relaxation. The large, renovated private roof terrace, has two sun beds, sofa, table and chairs. It really is the ideal place to be for relaxing, reading or as daylight fades, for watching the amazing sunsets over the distant sea views with a sun downer, or even star gazing, pure bliss!

The covered lower terrace, over looking the pool and gardens, is accessible from the lounge and bedroom. It allows you to enjoy lunch or candlelit dining , with additional comfortable chairs for reading/relaxation and 2 external fans for your comfort.

Our refurbished apartment and indeed our second home, is extremely well equipped for the rental market. Mosquito netting has been installed to all external doors, there is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need, an oven, brand new Smeg fridge freezer, a new dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen leads to the delightful lounge area with 2 sofas. Samsung flat screen TV with local and international programmes, with the addition of a Fire stick providing Prime TV, live sport and video on demand. A telephone with free local calls, Bluetooth portable music box. Ceiling fan and brand new AC unit has been installed here to help with the summer heat. Doors that lead out to the lower terrace.

Completely renovated bathroom with a quality walk in shower and sink unit. Triple towel rail and Luxury cotton towels are provided. Pool and beach towels, beach parasol, cooler and portable lightweight beach chairs are also for use.

The fabulous bedroom with a brand new US king size bed ( June 2024) lots of storage, hair dryers and straighteners, mirror. It has an AC unit and ceiling fan for those warm tropical nights.
Throw open the bedroom doors, awaken in quality cotton linen to the morning bird song and plan your day ahead.

Barbados is known for its wonderful beaches and fabulous people. Our tranquil apartment, with all modern conveniences, will give you the opportunity to truly explore all aspects of this wonderful Island with the flexibility of apartment living in beautiful surroundings.


Housekeeper is provided on bookings over 7 nights or more. If more visits are required these can be arranged and are payable by the guests locally. Only those booked can stay at the apartment.

Our property Manager can arrange car hire, groceries, excursions, fast track security and even a private chef! Car hire is highly recommended due to location. You can walk to Holetown 30/35 mins and beach 20mins. Downhill going!!!!

There are stairs to get to the apartment and no lift, and another set to reach the upper terrace. We are a quarantine approved apartment and all utility costs and Room levy tax is included in your rental rate. Please note that our apartment is strictly non smoking/vaping etc both inside and outside on the terraces. Thank you!

Had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed the Sugar Hill apartment. The Deck restaurant on location and both pools are even better than the pictures. Meals outside on the balcony are a plus. The location and how close it is to the beach and Holetown are ideal. After a long day of exploring we always looked forward to getting back to relax and enjoy the facility.

Absolutely amazing!
The previous reviews say it all but what an amazing place to stay! Gail and Chris have such a lovely property that's nestled slightly inland overlooking the sea. The complex is beautiful with lovely pools and the surrounding grounds are kept immaculate. It's a very serene location. Their apartment has everything you need and more and we couldn't have been more comfortable and happy. Access to the beach club is a great additional perk to use to make sure you get some sunbeds right on the beach! Definitely worth hiring a car although we did the walk up and down to the beach a couple of times too - If going into town, we wouldn't recommend walking the main road off Sugar Hill at night time because it can be a bit hairy, but if you do, you will see lots of fireflies ha! Their property manager was also super helpful and can help with things like hiring a car. P.S if you do hire a car, just ask for it to be dropped off to the apartment they will sort it. We had nothing to fault at all and loved our stay here. If you do go in off-season like we did then expect a lot of restaurants on the West Coast to be closed. Not all of them, but a fair few are. But almost everywhere is open on the south coast A wonderful stay and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

Exceeded expectations.
This property gave us exactly what we were looking for and more! The place was immaculate, and all dealings with both the owner Gail, and property manager Alicia, were above and beyond. Gail is a delight! Ownership pride was OBVIOUS the minute we stepped past the threshold. The resort itself boasted two pools, yet beach access was only minutes away via car, with shared amenities from The Fairmont. Gail provided excellent guidance on the resort and the area, and would be in best interest to take her recommendations, especially regarding a car rental. It's a wonderful combination of resort and "home". This was our first vrbo and the standard has now been set very high. Thank you Gail and Chris! Until next time! Because there most definitely will be a next time! Cheers!

From the moment we stepped into the villa, we knew we made a great decision. The view overlooking the pool was beautiful. The furnishings are very comfortable and the villa is well stocked. Wonderful experience
A lovely well equipped property set in beautiful gardens with access to the facilities of Sugar Hill. Well located to visit Barbados . A car is recommended but we managed well with taxis and walking (even uphill on the way back) to the beach club at stunning Alleynes Bay - membership really enhances the holiday. Local buses to Holetown are fun to ride too.The hosts were very informative and responsive. Rarely return to the same place but we have already booked to come back. Highly recommended.

How often can you say that you travel somewhere and EVERYTHING is perfect. This is rare! We are extremely selective with accommodations we choose and even more particular about cleanliness. This property is adorable, cozy, and most importantly clean! It is obvious that the owners take pride in their ownership! The finishings and furniture are of great quality. The outside spaces are beautifully furnished with inviting, comfortable pieces to ensure a restful experience. The apartment is located in a quiet, serene complex, surrounded by picturesque gardens that are extremely well kept. Although that alone would be enough, the owners have generously ensured that everything you could need is on hand. Besides all of the kitchenware that is present, they have gone above and beyond to provide soo many helpful extras that most owners don't. The list is too long, but to name a few items, seasonings, storage bags, cooking spray, laundry detergent, recycle bags for shopping, cushions for the chairs at the pool, an umbrella for the beach. If this seems too good to be true, know that we experienced it and it is just that. Now, as wonderful as all of that is and there seems no way to top it, believe it or not, it gets better. The owners are so nice, considerate and caring. Despite employing a property manager they still take the time to answer questions, provide suggestions and make sure that you have everything you need. Gail was a delight to communicate with! You will NOT be disappointed

We had the best time at this stunning penthouse, the decoration and detail is absolutely amazing as this the whole estate. The Deck restaurant and bar service are fantastic and the infinity pool has one of the best views I’ve ever seen. All communication from Gail is exceptionally prompt, thorough and offered lots of recommendations and local knowledge. Everything you could possibly need is on hand and this truly felt like a home from home for us. We can not recommend this property highly enough and would definitely book again in preference to some of the top Holetown hotels we have previously stayed at. This apartment is perfectly situated.We needed a recharge and the location is perfect, nice and quiet with everywhere easily accessible. The Clubhouse, the Deck and the pool were quiet and relaxing and a fab choice of restaurants close by. The apartment itself feels like home. Gail and Chris have thought of everything you need, and more! It’s lovely to have breakfast on the main terrace, and the upstairs sun terrace is perfect in the evening. Membership to the beach club at the Fairmont is a huge bonus. Gail is an extra asset to the property as she shares her wealth of knowledge of the area and her directions to Sugar Hill are spot on. This is definitely a property we will return to.

Absolute Perfection!
Stayed for 3 weeks to celebrate our 25th anniversary and … just didn’t want to leave! We’ve stayed in a fair few rentals over the years and this is hands down the best. Everything you could possibly need is in the apartment plus those extras to make your holiday even more perfect. The bed is comfy, lovely linens and towels (so often these are a letdown, but Gail & Chris have clearly gone that extra mile). Kitchen is really well equipped and was great to cook in. We were welcomed on arrival with a really thoughtful selection of essentials in the fridge - including Banks, rum & coke! The two terraces are beautiful - styled like an interiors magazine photoshoot, and super comfy too with seriously great quality furniture - it’s all so well thought out. Enjoyed the spectacular sunsets from the roof terrace. Sugar Hill itself gorgeous. Both pools are lovely, staff everywhere are great, helpful and funny, gym is good and the Deck restaurant (happy hour twice a week) has fab food and lovely staff. Sunbed service around the pool too which was fantastic! The grounds & gardens are gorgeous, and we loved all the birds! Watching the hummingbirds from the infinity pool was magical. Location is also (you guessed it) perfect - short ride to town for supermarkets & restaurants. Plus the beach club membership is a real bonus - stunning swimming, and the best sunbeds! Short walk to JuJus beach car too! It’s also a great base to explore the island further - not enough space here to list it all!

Lovely Apartment in a Beautiful Setting
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment with views over the Beautiful mature and verdant gardens of Sugar Hill in close proximity to the West Coast beaches and numerous restaurants. The apartment is fully equipped for a long term stay, with cooking facilities for a change to restaurant eating. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony overlooking the gardens and pool and sundowners on the roof terrace with views of the setting sun over the sea. Gail kept in touch from our booking to arrival and provided comprehensive information about the apartment and the Island. Access to the Fairmont Beach Club is a real bonus for beach lovers, located just a few minutes from Sugar Hill by car and there’s a well stocked Massy Supermarket in Holetown 10 minutes away. We collected a car hired from Stoutes on arrival and dropped it off on departure. We’ve used them multiple times and have always had first class service. Jeanette and Ray M

Well…. What an incredible place !! I am completely lost for words to be honest !! If you are thinking / dreaming of coming here don’t delay YOLO do it !!! Fabulous apartment amazing people delicious food beautiful resort wonderful beaches paradise on earth 🌍. Gail could not have been more accommodating from start to finish she was there for me . Gave me all the information and guidance that was needed as well as being able to stay in her beautifully well equipped / stunning apartment overlooking the beautiful sea . There is so much on thsi beautiful island whether you enjoy the beach the pool or sight seeing /designer shopping visiting the markets or just floating in the beautiful Caribbean Sea it has it all !!! Perfect !
We had an amazing time staying at the property. It had everything we needed and more to make our stay comfortable. The owners had thought of everything and more to make it feel home from home. It’s the perfect size for two people with great outdoor spaces. The estate itself is stunning. Two great pools, tennis courts, a bar and a restaurant and a fully equipped gym. Security on the gate and always someone at reception to help you out. Its beautifully maintained. So peaceful and calm. It’s approx 5 mins drive to the nearest beach and the same to the nearest place to eat You will need a car as it’s on quite a steep hill but I’d recommend a car anyway to explore the island etc. we had the best time and hope to return

The Penthouse is so beautiful and very clean. Two lovely balconies very well furnished with the view of one of the pools, the ground nicely maintained and the view of the sea (from distance). At night on the balcony, it is so peaceful with plenty of candels of all size. No dog barking, no mosquito, so quiet, day and night. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook great meals. If you forgot something at home, no worries, you will have it there from body lotion to make up remover, face cleansing, hand lotion and all good brand. The hand soap in the kitchen and the bathroom smell so good. There is another pool/restaurant/lobby with happy hour and a band that plays twice a week. This is the place I fully recommend to get THE perfect vacation. Gail (the owner) is definitely a super host!

My husband & I stayed here for 10 days in February 2023 for my birthday break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is gorgeous with everything you need. The location is very convenient & we used the beach club most days. We hired a car for the whole stay so that we could drive round the island. I can not recommend the apartment enough. Thank you Gail, again for a truly memorable stay.

Such a great stay
We have been to Barbados several times but this was our first stay at Sugar Hill. Once we had booked, communication with Gail was excellent. She was very accomodating and offered helpful suggestions for restaurants and travel arrangements. The property was even better than it appeared on the website. Gail and Chris have put a lot of thought in to making the property a real home from home. It is cosy, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. One of my biggest complaints with even some very expensive property rentals is that when one arrives there is very little there and towels are strictly rationed. That is certainly not the case with this property. We had unlimited access to the towel stock and there was washing up liquid, kitchen cloths, tea ,instant coffee, dried herbs, olive oil and vinegar, plenty of loo paper, shower gel,cotton wool and some toiletries provided. We tried not to take too much advantage of their generosity by replacing some items before we left. The bottle of rum, Banks beer and Coke waiting on our arrival was most welcome. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of glasses, china and cutlery. The apartment is not huge but is perfectly adequate for two people. We enjoyed a few evening meals on the lower terrace where it was lovely eating by candlelight. The cherry literally on the top however was the wonderful roof terrance that was furnished with two spotless and very comfortable sunbeds as well as a lovely seating area. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the roof watching the sun rise over the beautiful gardens. Sugar Hill is a very well maintained complex. The guards at the entrance were attentive and we felt very secure in our apartment and in the grounds. There were two fabulous pools, a gym and tennis courts. We ate at The Deck which is the onsite restaurant and went there for drinks. Both the food and the staff were very good. We made plenty of use of the apartment's membership of the Royal Fairmont Beach Club which was a very easy 5 minute drive down the hill. It was a bonus not having to pay for sunbeds every day. We love Barbados and try to visit most years and we would most definately stay at this great property again.
