Also, with many popular walking trails to explore.
The house is rustic and best to be reading, painting, gazing or simply sleep the whole day or laze away with a hot cup of tea or cocoa and a movie. One could also hike to a secluded lake (3km) for a dip in icy cold water at an elevation of 3000ft or drive to the first tea plantation in Sri Lanka (the Loolecondera tea estate) or Kandy (15km) or the constantly misty village of Mandaramnuwara (50km) and Nuwara Eliya on a beautiful ancient Cart Road via Deltota.
2 rooms (attached toilets) .... Can accommodate 5 people comfortably. Pantry kitchen, two balconies and a relaxing area – all with magnificent views.
45 minutes, 15km drive from Kandy on the Ampitiya/ Thalathuoya road. Motor-able to the doorstep with Parking/ Wi-Fi/ Cable TV/ DVD/ books/ Microwave/ gas cooker/washing machine/ iron/ hair dryer/ hot water/ fans/refrigerator/ CCTV etc.
The villagers’ cooking is authentic and divine.
A delicious Sri Lankan up-country meal could also be had through our caretaker's wife, who uses fresh veggies from our gardens for a reasonable fee (depending on your preferences).
It’s a neighborhood inhabited by many laid-back villagers whose main occupation is farming and revolves around a very peaceful traditional Buddhist culture not exposed to any sort of commercial tourism.
Could organize transport from Kandy city or your location for a predetermined/ negotiated amount.
A direct bus from Kandy town is available to the little village of Moragolla/ Bellwood Junction (Kirimetiya Estate bus stop - 15kms). There is another kilometer of a beautiful walk from the bus stop to the property.
Also, a TUK TUK for three pax (depending on luggage size) from the city of Kandy could be arranged.
Busses stop operating at 7pm from both ends.
