Amazing place
Publié le 31 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place is absolutely beautiful ! The property you stay on is an amazing farm. Trees everywhere, a pond, hills, cliffs. The home you rent is so homey, extremely clean,and these people have thought of everything to make it great for their guests. Tons of things to do during bad weather. The place is equiped with art supplies, games, movies - whatever you may like. The owner/property manager is the sweetest person ever, and always great to deal with. This has become our new favorite place to stay !

Peaceful Nature

We saw bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, red-headed woodpeckers and several songbirds. At night, while sitting around the campfire, we heard the calls of great-horned owls and coyotes. The stars were plentiful and the air fresh.
We walked the paths through the fields around the woods and helpful maps were provided. An impressive binder of information about the house and property included lists of birds and plants found on the property.
The house was clean, quiet, and the beds and sheets comfortable. There is one bathroom located downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The natural wood and stained glass windows gave a wonderfully warm ambiance to the house. There’s no dishwasher but there is a washer and dryer.
The water from the well tasted amazing.
Since that area of WI has spotty cell service and signal strength, it kept us from constantly staring at our phones or watching TV, giving us no excuse to not enjoy the beautiful outdoors, or playing games and puzzles indoors—of which many were provided. Though there are DVDs, our stay was delightfully reminiscent of the pre digital era and was a great way to unplug from 24/7 negative news cycles. This might not appeal to those who can’t live without these features, but for those like us, it was a healthy getaway both mentally and physically.
Our host, Thea, was extremely pleasant and accommodating to our every need.
We hope to stay here again!

Wonderful Getaway

Enchanting house, and property.
Publié le 7 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery beautiful place. House had everything needed for our stay, we were able to bring our dog which was a big plus. The kids loved it indoors and outdoors. I highly recommend this place for a quiet peaceful place to vacation. Also a very rich and interesting history of the property and family.

Cozy Home Surrounded by Mother Nature
Publié le 1 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis beautiful home of wood and stained glass is surrounded by a combination of trees, prairie, and riparian areas. It is perfect for both relaxing and hiking. And there are many things to see and do nearby in New Glarus, Mt. Horeb, Mineral Point, and Monroe.

Charming home in beautiful country setting
Publié le 18 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home is so neat. Unique design. Beds were comfortable and very clean. Host had such a warm welcome note and dog treats for our Boxer, Ava. Will definately stay again. My In-Laws live nearby and this was a perfect location. We made great memories here. ❤️

Perfect weekend getaway house!

Secluded beautiful house.

A gorgeous secluded getaway
Publié le 17 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhen we walked into Dalsoren we knew instantly we were going to be comfortable. The AC units in the bedrooms, air circulators downstairs, and the modern ceiling fans kept a breeze throughout the cabin that kept us from overheating all throughout our stay (the weather was rainy and hovering around 90 degrees every day but the house was always cool and comfortable). The scenery was first-rate, the bed and furniture cozy, and the cabin is in pristine condition. The location is secluded but a quick 20-minute drive from Mt. Horeb or New Glarus. Be sure to check out the beach at Yellowstone Lake State Park if it's hot when you visit! Fantastic trip and hope to be back again some time.

Serene, Clean and Stunning
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayFrom the initial contact, Thea was an absolutely wonderful host. The house is unique and beautiful. Backing up to the edge of woods on one side, there's a panoramic view of the prairie on the other that changed throughout the day. Every window held a natural treasure beyond. The house is eclectic and full of history, as we learned from the binders provided inside. It's clear that this home is treasured, as well as it's works of art and the stained glass. Afternoons provide a blazing view of the stained glass panels. Everything was pristine! We thoroughly enjoyed hiking the many trails on the property. While heavy rains affected the fishing, we simply took the time to relax, listen to birds and appreciate the wildlife. From coyotes yipping to the many birds singing, bunnies hopping about, deer grazing and a woodchuck, there are plenty of visitors. Bring your sunscreen and bug spray so that you can fully enjoy all this property has to offer. Thank you Thea for being a wonderful host! We are already planning a return trip.
