Pub qui fait aussi hôtel !

Pour : Son positionnement en centre ville
Contre : Les chambres sont juste au dessus du pub qui est tres bruyant .
Les gens fument et discutent dans le jardin et il n'y a pas de double vitrage .
Emplacement : En centre ville à coté des commerces , des restaurants et du picturedrome .
On a organisé un week-end à Holmfirth pour voir Leo Sayer au picturedrome

Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HotelsGreeted as we approached the Hotel by loud live band music. Struggled to find someone to check us in. Had to push through crowded dance room with our luggage, then up ill lit stairs. Passed by rooms with piles of dirty towels outside. Our room was adequate, again the lighting was poor. The toilet seat was wobbly, and the toilet roll holder was coming off the wall. Dirty area of skirting board and plug sockets by the kettle table and radiator.
However, the worst aspect of our one night stay, was the incredibly loud live music, right under our room. The thumping drums and bass actually made the furniture vibrate. We were told that the music would finish at 11.30pm. It stopped at 11.45pm, then there was more non live music and the sounds of chairs and tables being dragged and rearranged. Nothing in the hotel description explained there would be extremely loud live music at the hotel. We were tired and needed an early restful night. Instead this was a nightmare scenario. Just wanted to leave in the morning as soon as pssible, so did not stay for breakfast. We will be asking for a major refund.

Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HotelsLast stayed at the Elephant & Castle 6yrs ago what a pleasant surprise on check-in, completely refurbed. Friendly, helpful staff, room was spotless and very comfortable, great breakfast which catered for my gluten free diet. Will stay again.

Lovely room, nice staff. Seemed expensive for type of property. Noice from the bar carried up into the bedroom until very late (it was a Saturday). Thought it unusual to be charged a deposit in case of damage, to be refunded to card later.
