Nightly Moose visitors
Publié le 25 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayThe house was nice, had a great layout and a beautiful location! We used this home as a jumping off place for our Homer fishing adventures. Awesome access to the Spit for shopping, and beautiful views all night long. We had moose visit nightly as our highlight!

Perfection in Homer

Nice Location but the property next door is being cleared
Publié le 26 mai 2021 sur HomeAwayThe property next door is being cleared with heavy equipment. They are also using chain saws to cut trees down. I know this will be short lived but sitting outside to enjoy the view and yard is not possible. It was not a pleasant experience for us. We were told we waited to long to make a complaint. We checked in on a Thursday evening, heard the noise from next door on Friday, went for all day hike on Saturday and left to the sound of chain saws, Sunday was quiet, Monday they were back at it so we went to Bishops Beach, and we left Tuesday morning. If you have booked this place, you will see and hear the activity next door. Good luck 🙁

This was an unfortunate situation, as we had no knowledge that the property next door was going to have any work done. What is even more unfortunate is that we would have happily moved you to another beautiful home, at no additional fee, to ensure you had a wonderful stay in Homer. We were not given the opportunity to remedy the situation because you waited until 8 pm on your 5th and final night to let us know of the construction, at which time you requested a 50% refund. That is much like eating all but one bite of a meal at a restaurant and then telling them you didn't like it and asking for a refund.
We have amazing customer service and strive to create an awesome experience for all of our guests, as shown in our other reviews. We take care of any issues right away, when given the opportunity by our guests. Unfortunately, in this situation we were not given that opportunity, which we would have been more than willing to do!
