The huge advantage the Renaissance has is the provision of access to the glorious Grand Hyatt pool at a price point far lower than the GH itself. This (with a late check-out offer to 4pm) made it a brilliant stay for a sunny weekend. Elsewhere the room was fine but the shower was too low for anyone 5’7 plus, refurbs going on to other rooms on our floor suggest the widespread replacement of bath/shower combinations with walk in showers which would be welcome. Breakfast is excellent, one of the best in Hong Kong, room service was underwhelming though, great presentation and service but a cumbersome trolley and bland food.

A very business hotel next to the exhibition centre. Breakfast can be very busy. Check out is at noon, which is great, albeit, when we were checking in, at 1145am, a huge crowd appeared to check out. The barristers at the nearby Arts Centre are good enough to make good coffee in a good NZ or Australian cafe.

To me, the hotel looks better on paper than it was to actuall be there. The room was comfortable. The view of the harbor was amazing. Turn down service was nice especially for giving us extra towels and water for an evening shower. The soundproofing is pretty lowgrade, frankly. I could hear my upstairs neighbors moving their chair around and we mistook the neighbor's doorbell for our own frequently. Also, I waited for 27 minutes for an available elevator to go to breakfast cutting my eating time down to about 30 minutes. I most likely will not stay again. But I recommend it for others who are more business minded or don't need to relax so much.

Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel is an excellent property, and a beautiful hotel with a professional well caring staff, who will meet all your expectations. This a great hotel, so don't give it another thought, and book it now! You won't go wrong. The Zalis Family, Harding Township, NJ, USA, aka 'El Garbancito Espanol'
