Dommage.

AC was fabulous. Our room was really comfortable. loved the old house. Just needs a little love especially the outside grounds. Breakfast staff could be a bit more friendly but we made it work.

Unique, and has its quirks. Really harkens back to what we used to think of as a B&B. Still, if you are okay not being right on the beach, or you have business with the Univ of Hawaii this is an option well worth consideration.

Poor management. They changed my reservation and downgrade my room without any notice. The check-in time is until 10pm. I showed up at 9:30 but no one was there. I got locked outside and waited for 40 minutes to check in. Totally not recommended.

I'm sorry for your experience but as I mentioned your reservation was originally made with an "unassigned room" which means you made a reservation but it is at the hotels discretion as to which room you'd be placed in and as such the price charged will reflect the room you stayed in. And as far as your check in goes our hours are from 9am to 5pm, we accommodate those who let us know they are going to be checking in late because we have families we would like to spend time with while trying to get a business up and running. If you stayed for more than one day, I guarantee, you would have felt different, but because you came late at night and left early in the morning, your experience is what it is.

Upon arrival I was suspicious of the conditions of the Inn. The outside could use some decluttering. The inside was old and dim inside. The person who checked me in walked me up 2 flights of stairs (something that should be in the notes of the hotel) showed me to a room that wouldn’t lock. They had to change the door handle. The rooms air conditioning didn’t work. It was in the low 90’s that afternoon. I felt bad for the woman as it seems to be a family run operation by herself her children. So I decided to stay and support local business. The next morning no coffee and the “included” breakfast was late and disastrous. I had a family emergency and had to check out early and spoke to the lady who checked me in. She assured me that I would be refunded since my stay was awful and should’ve been refunded in full at the start of my stay, and its days later. Still waiting. I have text exchanges proving the experience and will be taking it up with my credit card company.

Hi Monique,Im sorry for your experience but I am a bit confused? Our last conversation before leaving was me informing you that in order to get the refund, you would need to contact Expedia directly and in turn I would approve a refund request since your plans changed. Then the following day at 12:22PM you text me stating "I truly appreciate your efforts to make my stay as comfortable and would be more inclined to leave a super positive review and not take it up with Expedia for a refund per our discussion right before I left yesterday"I am more than willing to give you the refund despite our no refund policy but there are protocols that need to be followed by the both of us.When you do your part, I am more than happy to also do mine, but I need to be contacted by an Expedia customer service agent.
