The Sunset Motel is convenient to everything in Hood river. Plus it is close to the freeway. The couple that run the motel are very friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay for a night.

Nice clean hotel

The rooms were very clean and without stained carpets, for instance which you sometimes do.
The bed and pillow were quite comfortable, other amenities like the bathroom were fairly basic.

I was in town for a wedding and it didn’t get over until pretty late and I received a call asking when I would be coming to check in. I thought it was very odd. When I got there later I realized why. It’s a family run business and he was ready for bed. It was awkward checking in with a guy in his Jammies clearly upset to have to stay up until 10:30 on a Friday to check us in. The following day I was running late and he was kind enough to grant us 30 minutes more to vacate the property. When I went to check out there was a child working! A legit child! He took our keys and was very kind but it was a bit odd. I am only slightly bummed about the lack of bfast but it would have been nice.

Across from shopping center with Tesla charging station. If you bring pet make sure you get a pet room all rooms don’t accept pets. Clean and convenient would definitely stay again
