I was charged to my credit card $289.65 with no receipt to show what I was paying for. I emailed them and they told me it was for consumption. I didn't order any food because they had free breakfast. These people are cheating the clients. Expedia should take them off their website as one of the properties to stay at. If i was cheated how many mote people have they cheated.

We are committed to the highest standard and would never risk a negative comment for extra financial gain (you received a draft of the invoice for extras before the day of check-out to check it all is correct (it was of course and you paid by yourself, it was not an automatic charge by our system).We took care of you like family, we did a great job during your stay in our hotel to meet all your expectations, for which you thanked us during your check-out. Nevertheless, even though you apologized to us in our internal email communication, a negative comment cannot be removed by anyone and we have to live with it.We kindly ask you to clarify your concerns first before leaving a negative comment to another hotelier in the future.We wish you many enjoyable travels.

Sehr zuvorkommende Verantwortlicher der Reception, der sich nach unserer Flugstreichung den Kurzaufenthalt ausserplanmässig perfekt arrangierte. Dies insbesondere da die Gesamtflexibiltät der Mitarbeitenden nicht gegeben war. Etwas kleines Essen organisierte uns der besorgte Mitarbeiter gegen das “sehr straffe militärische” Regime. Das Hotel ist wunderschön und für einen entspannenden Urlaub in der Natur, weit ab vom Tourismus perfekt!

Great stay and very welcoming lodge

We stayed in the garden loft and it was an amazing experience. The location is extremely remote and quiet and really makes you feel like you are alone on the island of Faial. The staff treated us very well and when they heard we would miss breakfast for an early ferry they made us a togo breakfast the day before and put it in our refrigerator. The lodge is family owned and are very welcoming. Great experience!!
