So dirty and out dated. Our toilet was “lopsided” and the tile and tub was very stained, the carpet was stained and buckled, and the room smelled of mildew. Our air never cooled down and I sweated all night. The paint and plaster was chipping off the walls and the ceiling in the hallway was falling apart, and I had to pay for parking because valet was full. The place is beautiful and old but really needs attention. The staff was amazing though and the entertainment and bar area/lobby was GREAT! I wanted to love it but still, it was a bit scary. It is very convenient for walking.

Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HotelsThe common spaces of this hotel are amazing and historic, however the rooms and hallways need much renovation. I know they are in the process of doing a lot, but I was disappointed. Lots of paint peeling, water damage and “landlord specials”. Parking was $22/night. There’s a $15 resort fee per day, I’m not sure what that money is going to. The doors took old fashion keys which I liked, but they were also incredibly hard to open. It also slowed down check out times because of it. The bed was nice but the lamps and other furniture need to be replaced. The AC unit is probably older I am. While it did work, it needed to be cleaned. There’s no reception and the WiFi didn’t stay connected. The hallways are dark to the point of a safety concern. Also there were no signs for the stairs. The elevators took forever (mostly because of their size). The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. When I come back to Hot Springs, I’d probably stay somewhere else until major renovations are made.

Yes, the property has “old” everything and with age comes wear and tear and all the things we aren’t very tolerable of when staying away from home nowadays. But, this hotel transported us back to a different place and time and we enjoyed it. It was quiet, we felt safe and the staff made the stay. The location is wonderful.
