Staff at reception were friendly & seemed genuinely willing to accommodate the guest request. Good Job management for employing good staff

I did not enjoy my stay and I ended it early for several reasons. When I arrived, it was late, and I was exhausted. A nice woman at the front desk checked me in. I noticed a mildew smell, but since Houston is humid, I paid it no mind. When I got off of the elevator, the smell was even stronger. I got to my room and went to bed. In the middle of the night, my chest started feeling tight and I couldn’t figure out why. To make a very long story short, the next day when I slid the barn door to the bathroom closed, the wallpaper was peeling and there was lots of black mold exposed. I had been breathing that in all night! They changed my room, but the next room had a big spider in it. Later, the power and internet went out and I was done. I checked out and went to a different hotel.
