Birthday getaway
Publié le 2 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayI planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again.

Great base for area excursions

Cute Cottage
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here for a short weekend while visiting Penn State and exploring Bald Eagle State Park. The cottage was really cute, and it was nice and quiet and very clean! I did not know that there was a separate rental suite upstairs when I booked the property, but we didn't hear any noise so that was good. It had lots of wonderful conveniences and many touches that made it easy to settle in and made it feel special. We even got to meet Bonita at the store and appreciated the recommendations she provided about places to visit in the area. The book she made for cottage guests had all the information we needed and was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again in the future!

Cutest little cottage!

Perfect for our small family to stay during a three day Penn State Graduation weekend; only about 30 minutes away from campus. Very clean and well-appointed. We used the grill outside for a lovely dinner. Owner communication was excellent, and they went above and beyond to help us retrieve an item left behind after we had checked out. Highly recommend this gem!
