Avis Nature Retreat, amazing silence and views (32 nights minimum)

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PROPERTY OWNER! Property owner cancelled our booking less than 4hrs before arrival. Even after the owner cancelled us the property was still listed as available on VRBO and other sites. We had been on the road at this point for just over an hour and a half when we received the cancelation email. VRBO and the property owner have both failed to refund our money. We did contact both within the hour of being cancelled. The property owner states he would look into it as it’s VRBO who refunds us, still nothing. VRBO states it’s the owner who needs to refund us. He said she said. We are out of pocket and on a long weekend had no alternative but to head back home as no properties were available in the area.. No responsibility or refund from either VRBO or property owner after 5 days now. Unacceptable.

This chalet is exactly what you pay for: no more, no less. Beautiful view. Very nice owner.

Was visiting friends in the area and decided we wanted our own space - this was perfect. Great views from the living room (and the deck in summer) and quiet. Will be back!
