The property is nice, great accommodation, lovely decoration and well maintained.
The property has a fly infestation on the upper level. There is a garbage policy, that requires you to take the garbage with you otherwise you will be charged $25.

It’s a fixer upper
Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIt looks like they are in the process of fixing it up. Missing a cover on an outlet right above the bed and some wires not covered. Also the boards in the upstairs were not secured in the floor. My biggest complaint was the listing. It said that there was a hot tub, which was false. Also it said that there was a double bed and a futon in the living, which was false. There wasn’t even a couch. There was a love seat and 2 chairs. My husband had to sleep in the recliner because of the false listing. Also, there was a bunch of stuff in the fridge. It was clean and it smelled good but I wouldn’t book it again! Plus it’s in the middle of no where!

No snow snowmobile trip

We had planned on snowmobiling but with the lack of snow we brought our side by side and still had a great tkmr!

Clean and homey!

Great host, easy stay - sometimes bumps are blessings
Publié le 30 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed the weekend, family of 7 (adults +baby). Owner was great with communication and easy to work with through a few minor issues (not worth detailing, owner was fantastic to assist). Well stocked, plenty of clean towels and linens, washing machine and dryer…
GREAT location in the heart of the eastern Upper Peninsula… within 30 mins of anything you want to see…
Again: can’t acknowledge the communication and feedback of the owner enough… real easy to work with and offers full access to a lot of amenities most places don’t even consider (garage, bbq, fire pit, chairs, etc.)…
One thing to mention: We were a little surprised to realize the pull out sofa wasn’t there (as mentioned in the listing), so we were down a bed… but we worked it out, my adult kids decided to slumber party on the downstairs floor like teenagers.
If you like a cozy place to stay, this is your place!

Quiet and Comfortable

This place was great for what we needed which was a home base for us to head out from. The home was stocked with plenty of dishes so we could cook our own meals. There was plenty of towels and sheets available for use and best of all, they were cleaned. We enjoyed having dinner on the unique dining room table and the kids loved sitting on the bench seats. We were about 35-40 mins away from the falls so that worked out well for us. The owner was also very responsive. I text a couple of questions to the phone number given and was replied to within minutes. I was very appreciative of that. The only things I would mention to renters is if you come, make sure you bring your own food as the nearest grocery story is in Newberry which was about 30 mins away. Not bad of a drive if you live in Michigan but it can be if you have been driving all day to get there. The other part I didn't realize was that this home didn't have any trash pickup so you literally had to take your trash with you. Thankfully, the owner was nice enough to work with me on that and coordinated with his house keeper. That was very nice of him because I would have had to take my trash home with me. Overall, it was a cozy little place that was great for my family and I. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay so they can explore the beautiful UP.
