A Pleasant Getaway!

Awesome stay but property needs some update
Publié le 18 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a lot of fun at the place. Backyard is good to sit outside with lot of seating. Place was convinent to hiking trails we wanted to go.
Some of the things were old like outdoor rusted table, no cushions for outdoor chairs.
Living room was crammed with the gaming stuff which was not really clear from the pictures as we expected it to be in separate room.
Bathroom doors wouldnt lock. We contacted the owner and he sent someone right away who could fix some bathroom not all.

Great weekend house
Publié le 5 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house was perfect for our friends group of 5 couples. The outdoor area with firepit + hot tub gave us a place to enjoy the views of the mountain and the great spring weather. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and everything was super clean.
The beds are on the smaller side (doubles/full) and some rooms had 2 beds in them, but I'm not sure those would be useable for two separate couples - but they'd be perfect for kids/cousins/kids + parents. The house has some significant stairways to the 2nd and 3rd floors - so it's not for anyone that has challenges walking. Overall we LOVED the property and the host was fantastic through the whole process.

Great stay
Publié le 30 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place had everything. Enough room for all of pur guests. A perfect backyard including a deck, hot tub, volleyball net and court, basketball hoop, and firepit. Our group was more than entertained in the house, taking full advantages of the ping pong table and the pool table. Nearby hikes for outdoorsy people. Nearby golf course. Nearby bars and restaurants. Perfect vacation place with friends!
The host was always responsive to everything our group recahed out about. The host had someone bring dish towels to us one morning when we could not find any. Perfect host, couldnt ask for more!

Ski weekend and friends' reunion
Publié le 6 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a weekend of skiing and getting together with old childhood friends. The location is great, as it was less than a mile from Hunter Mountain. There are a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance, as well. Unfortunately, we got rained out from skiing on Saturday, but we had a great time just hanging out inside the cabin. There was plenty of room with all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms seemed newly renovated. The living room was a little beat up, but you would expect this from all of the wear and tear it receives. Having the pool table, foosball, and ping pong was a plus. And the hot tub felt great after a long day of skiing on Friday. Check-in was easy and Andrzej’s communication was excellent. All of the pool cues were broken, so I texted him, and 15 minutes later we had new pool cues. The only suggestions I would make for improvement would be hiring a chimney sweep. You can only have a very small fire, or the smoke starts filling the house. It explained why the smoke detector by the entrance was missing. Also, even though there are plenty of TVs, it isn't easy getting them going. There are remotes everywhere, and most of them are missing their batteries. There are tons of DVDs there for your use, but no DVD player. Only X-Box, which we couldn't get working. Other than that, everything was great, and we would definitely book it again!

Annual Hunter trip
Publié le 18 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed at the property for an annual ski trip we do with a big group. Plenty of room to sleep, kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Property could use a little upkeep but nothing that would tarnish your stay and ability to have a relaxing/fun time with friends. Plenty of parking and things for kids to do. Would stay again.

NYE 2023 / NY 2024
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a large group of longtime friends and this house was perfect. Each couple had their own room and only two couples had to share a bath. That was key. The kitchen table was also large enough to fit our big group. The property is less than a mile from Hunter Mountain for skiing and tubing and we listened to some live music while there. The property is also very close to some wonderful, hiking trails. Overall a good experience. We will definitely go back.
