They are going through some renovations (seems like they've been going on for some time!) so the rooms feel like they are in a bit of a transition. But you cannot beat the location, right down the street from Main Street and the Pier. The staff is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

In need of some work
Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HotelsOur 3rd floor oceanfront room was mediocre at best. The partial view of the ocean was nice. The traffic noise of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) was absolutely horrible until late at night. Our king bed was old and too firm and the pillows were extra small and lumpy. The chairs were very uncomfortable. The sliding glass doors to the balcony got stuck. There is only a cheap small aluminum rack to hang clothes and no dresser with drawers. Overall, the hotel looks and feels old and tired. Signs indicate remodeling in progress, but are several years old. Ownership needs to upgrade the rooms and property. Booked last minute to attend a business conference nearby, but should have looked elsewhere.

First let me start by saying the Pros really outweigh the Cons for me but the cons are pretty serious.
Here were the Cons:
1. This place is a few blocks away from the Huntington Pier, so you need to walk through a little bit of a sketchy section to get to the shops. Unfortunately, on this trip there were some homeless guys that were hooting and hollering the first night. The second night one of them was really high and peeing on a bush and then tried to pee on us.
2. The hotel was under construction on one of the floors, so everything was dusty. I didn't hear any construction noises though.
3. no breakfast and no pool.
4. Very Small lobby and not many benefits offered by the hotel.
Pros:
1.The price is very affordable.
2. The location is a very short walk to the pier
3. Your car is safe in an underground garage.
4. We spent all our time from waking up until late in the night on the Pier or walking around the shops and restaurants.
5. The beds were comfortable and the balcony overlooking the ocean was nice to wake up to and go to sleep to.

Hotel was being upgraded and remodeled during our stay and noisy and the room was “fairly” clean. The floor was not as clean as expected.
