Beautiful Historic Home, but….
Publié le 11 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed there because we could not get a refund in spite of a cancer diagnosis that changed our Thanksgiving location. The home is lovely, but the ONLY bathroom and three bedrooms are upstairs. My husband and I are senior citizens, so that was not good. I did not read the fine print for the listing, but it should be front and center. I would not recommend it for younger children as the stairs are somewhat steep and hardwood. It’s not for anyone with any physical condition, either.

You are correct in noting that this home is not well suited for anyone who cannot climb stairs. I have tried to make that perfectly clear in my listings' general description, this is not buried in fine print.
You let me know the day before your scheduled check in about the cancer diagnosis, and I offered my sincere sympathies. I also offered to refund your stay if the property rebooked. Instead of canceling, you chose to keep the reservation, saying that you would commute to the gathering place. I appreciate you accepting our cancellation policy, but I express my regrets on the way your Thanksgiving was this year.
