Strawberry Corner - disappointed
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWhile it was nice for dogs due to fencing being around all of property it is located on an extremely busy corner. Lots of cars, trucks, motorcycles and pedestrians.
When we arrived we found the cabin had not been cleaned. Trash, unmade beds dirty kitchen, webs and dead and alive insects was not a welcome sight. While the master bed was comfortable the interior lighting throughout and the smokey smell in the great room was overpowering at times. This is an old cabin so most of the doors don’t close all the way with Jerry rigged bolts used to lock them. Some of the windows don’t lock at all. There is only a tub downstairs so if you want to shower you need to go upstairs. Needless to say we won’t be going back.

Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayStrawberry Corner is beautifully situated on the edge of Idyllwild with coffee shops and restaurants all just a short stroll away. Access to Strawberry creek was much appreciated by the children and adults as it was very hot during our stay

Perfect place for old college friends to meet

We spent most of our time visiting on the large deck, but also made the short walk into town for a couple of lovely dinners. The house is charming and comfortable, and was perfect for the six of us to hang out and catch up after many years of not seeing each other. Everyone loved it.

Wonderful Idyllwild family vacation
