Almost Heaven! A charming cabin on the creek walk to town with spa

"Almost Heaven" is a charming cabin located on Strawberry Creek, just a short walk from town. The original cabin, built in 1923, has been expanded to four bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it perfect for families or groups of friends. The spacious yet inviting interior features a grand room with a brick fireplace, handmade vintage cedar furniture, and a 65” smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen includes a cozy gathering space with a Franklin stove and a coffee bar. Outside, the back deck overlooks a grove of trees and a seasonal creek, and features a jacuzzi and a 12’ cedar picnic table. The cabin also offers a washer/dryer, a barbecue, and a front porch to enjoy the morning sunlight.

Bedroom #1 - King bed in a very large room with a cozy sitting area, jack and jill bathroom shared with Bedroom #2
The 3rd bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower is located between the grand room and the kitchen.
Bedroom #2 - Two double beds with jack & jill bathroom shared with Bedroom #1.
Bedroom #3 - Queen bed with a rustic pine frame and cozy sitting area, also deck side (note: the bathroom is accessible through Bedroom #2 or off-deck, through the kitchen)

Check-in instructions: On your arrival day, the reserving guest will receive a text with check-in instructions between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Please stop by our office to retrieve your key from the lockbox.

- Parking: Free parking is available for 3 vehicles.

- County permit number: 001444

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

- Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2, We no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21. Those under 25 will provide an additional security deposit of $250-$500 on the day of arrival.

-Seasonal wood delivery: There is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces) if available. Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

We can’t wait to return and had such a lovely time. The team was very responsive to any questions we had. Views are unreal in the backyard. Breakfast on the patio in the morning is a must!

Lovely Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Almost Heaven! The home was even better in person than photos - we loved the layout and the overall design was cozy and perfect for a stay in the mountains. The large deck also exceeded expectations and the kids in our group enjoyed the property access to a small creek in the backyard. We took advantage of the hot tub and BBQ grill, both of which were conveniently located on the back deck. Overall a wonderful stay and would love to come back another time!

This was a great house for 6 adults and a couple little kids. We loved all the seating options throughout the house, games that were available, and the hot tub! I wish we had more time to enjoy the patio and property, but I have a feeling we will be back!

We loved this cabin! The deck is huge and has a great view of the tall beautiful trees. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed for cooking, and the cabin was very clean! We would stay here again.

This home was perfect for a relaxing getaway for our two families. Comfortable sleeping and plenty of space to hang out. It was an easy walk into town and loved the sound of the creek just behind the cabin. We’ll definitely be back!

If I had to make any recommendations or requests, It would be that there are sheets on the beds, there was a mattress cover sheet but the one that you cover up with wasn't on the beds, actually there was one on the biggest room but not the other 3. Everything else was great. Thank You

Charming and Cozy
Overall this was a great property, and was an amazing location. So close to town center and an easy walk or drive. The property is gorgeous, and we loved walking along the creek through the back yard. The house itself is huge and the bedrooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of clean towels and sheets. And the living room and kitchen were so cozy. On the negative side, the back deck is ready to fall through in places and desperately needs to be replaced. We had to avoid the entire right side of the deck since multiple boards were so soft and clearly falling apart that were had a real fear of one of us (or one of the kids!) falling through. We were also really excited for the hot tub, but unfortunately none of the jets on half of the tub were working. All in all, would definitely recommend, but it definitely needs some maintenance updates, especially for safety reasons.

Great House!
We had a great stay here, plenty of space for the 8 people. The view from the jacuzzi is gorgeous looking out over the deck into the forest. The kitchen was well stocked. Quick walk to the town. Perfect house and we'll stay again!

House was great. Property manager not so much.
The house was awesome. Beautiful deck, roomy inside. Perfect for our group of friends. But after filling everything out on VRBO’s site the property manager wanted me to fill out a completely different application and send a copy of my credit card front and back. Why do I have to do that when I’ve already given all that info online?! When we asked about an early check in we were told it would be an additional fee so they could hire extra cleaners to get it ready. We had already been to the house and already knew it was ready so it was just a ruse to get more money. I’ve always had owners I’ve rented from on VRBO check up via email to see if everything is ok but did not hear anything from this property manager. So the bottom line is I’d rent the house again if it were under different management but I will not deal with the current management company again.

Loved this cozy and quirky cabin!
It was a fun property to stay at with lots of vintage and rustic decor. The kids enjoyed the board games, Netflix, and the big yard in the back. We were able to walk to the nearby park and brewery which was fun. We loved having breakfast in the kitchen with the beautiful bay window looking into the trees and enjoyed a happy hour on the deck. There were a few hiccups but the property management company was very receptive and addressed everything right away. One of the mattresses needs to be replaced but it was fine for a weekend. Don't bother buying the wood from the property management company, it was too fresh and wouldn't catch fire. We had better luck burning wood we collected from the yard. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and appreciated all the space for our three families.

Great Cabin Horrible Service
1st I'd like to say that the cabin was awesome! We had 7 adults and 2 kids 7 and 8. Comfortable and clean. But the property management company was horrible. Had to sign rental agreement with them even after signing up through VRBO. And they were very difficult and misleading with an early check-in. Finally after checking out half an hour late the rude lady at the rental office had the nerve to ask me "well what hapoened" then told me.i was lucky that they didn't have the place booked the day of our checkout. Stay away from this property management company!
