I didn’t like that I was not told that I had to walk 15 minutes up a hill to get to our room. I have a lung condition so it was not good for me to do that. Once we got to the room we couldn’t go anywhere because we would of had to walk back down the hill then back up again. If I was told that we had to do this I would of never booked it. I liked the staff, they were all very attentive to our needs.

Dear Ms Priscilla Lacause,
I am sorry to hear that you have a lung condition which made it hard for you to climb the hill up to the hotel.
When making the reservation, you may have noticed that the hotel is called "Suites la Colline" which means "Suites on the Hill". Also the main picture on the Expedia web site and other photos in the gallery are aerial views of the hotel which clearly show its location on top of a hill. The gallery also includes 30 photos of the beautiful views from the hotel that also make its elevated location evident. In the future we will try to be even more explicit about that and advise our clients about the hill to be climbed.
However, never before had we clients who were surprised about the location of the hotel. Also, most of them appreciate making a little exercise on their way back from the beach, as well as the rewards of being on top of a hill with the sea breeze and those fantastic views. Overweight clients, and those with lung or heart conditions, usually take their time to climb the hill and they stop from time to time to enjoy the views. The very rare patients for whom physical effort is really dangerous usually can't travel at all.
As a physician myself, I recommend to my elderly patients who are overweight and have lung conditions, to exercise as much as possible (you should consult your own physician to get specific advice about your particular circumstances). When I acquired the property 20 years ago I had a physical condition similar to yours (overweight and asthmatic) and I had much trouble climbing up the hill without stopping a couple of times. However, after a few months of daily climbing my physical condition started to improve to the point of eventually losing all that fat and not needing asthma medication anymore. This is entirey unsurprising as it corresponds to standard observations and recommendations of medical experts about the benefits of exercising for obese patients with lung conditions. I am now 67 and I run up the hill every day. But again, I suggest that you consult your physician to get advice about the type and amount of exercice that would benefit you the most. He may suggest that you lose weight, that you climb stairs or even that you stay in hotels located upon hills ;-), in order to overcome a too sedentary lifestyle.
We wish you all the best. We will be glad to see you again when your physical condition improves, maybe in the course of an exercise program prescribed by your doctor ;-)
Regards,
