Comfortable Character Cottage 'Bumble Cottage'

This is a cosy 200 year old stone built cottage with Character! The cottage is in a tucked away location away from the road but within walking distance to local pubs and the village amenities.

The Pack of Cards is a 10 minute walk away and a further 10 minutes walk will take you to the Combe Martin Beach!

The cottage is fully equipped for an enjoyable and welcomed break including Wi- Fi, a fully equipped kitchen and the essential free private parking at the rear of the cottage for a hassle free break! In addition there is a private and pretty suntrap courtyard garden.

The village has many amenities to offer including the following: two great fish and chip shops, 5 pubs to choose from, (some with free pool) a village bakery, gift shops, several convenience stores, a post office, a library, a chemist, a lovely tea room, a deli, ice cream and rock shops, a tourist centre and a museum. And of course a fantastic beach which is great for rock pooling and numerous caves to explore. The beach is exceptionally good for kayaking and there are two very good hire shops in the village including tours and lessons.

The main bedroom has a King size Bed with some countryside views from the window. The Second Bedroom has a Trundle bed and can be used either as a single bed or two single beds or as a double. Please contact me on booking and advise how you would like the second bedroom set up.

The cottage has a modern bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer and microwave oven and gas oven. There is also the added benefit of a b washing machine and there is also a Dishwasher which you might not get with other holiday cottages of a similar price!

There is a tiered courtyard Garden for al fresco dining. There are stairs to the rear and the cottage is not deemed suitable if you have mobility issues or toddlers.

One well behaved dog is accepted.

Perfect Spot

Extremely enjoyable stay in Combe Martin quaint cottage

A particularly quaint cottage of character, well managed and maintained, providing for all our needs. It was a great pleasure to stay here, also spending some enjoyable evenings in around the character fireplace in the cosy lounge. Ideal central location for us to explore North Devon's coastal towns and Exmoor's national park. On arrival we found the whole cottage meticulously clean, with everything in its place, and obviously the owner has gone to great lengths to ensure this for his guests. Would most definitely return at some point.

Happy holiday

We have had a wonderful week here. Communication with Jason from start to finish has been excellent! The digital guide was really handy and just full of information about the area. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. We was lucky with the weather so a lighter duvet or fan would have been nice. The locals are very friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend bumble cottage, we would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely holiday

Bumble Cottage

Lovely neat little cottage. Very clean. Checking in instruction and directions to the cottage and parking very clear and easy to follow. Lovely to arrive to a welcome basket and nice to have tea, coffee and sugar and other basics in the cupboard . Made full use of the little garden with lovely weather . Highly recommend a visit

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location

Absolutely lovely clean, spacious cottage. Equipped with all you need plus a thoughtful welcome basket. Enclosed Garden that was extremely well maintained. One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in ( we have stayed in loads!). Highly recommended.

A lovely cottage in Coombe Martin

Jason the owner is very helpful he will go the extra mile to make sure his visitors are happy. The property was just perfect,the only problem was ours we are all in our seventies which made the steep back garden a bit awkward to use, and Jason told us about it before we went and he phoned us while we were there to see how it was, you could not want for anything more that’s in the cottage we enjoyed our stay

Very comfortable stay

We stayed one week at Bumble cottage for our first trip to a north Devon. Jason couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. The cottage is in a lovely location in Combe Martin and super cozy. We had everything we needed. Didn’t get to enjoy the garden because the weather gods weren’t on our side. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need although the gas oven was terrifying 
. but that’s just me! The place was spotless, great shower, very comfortable bed and I enjoyed my morning coffee in bed looking out at the hillside. Combe Martin is well located for Exmoor National Park (which we loved), SW cost walks (from the car park at the harbour) and of course the wonderful beaches. The only drawback is there aren’t many options for eating out in the evening and the quality isn’t great. We tended to eat out at lunch time and then ate a light supper in the evening at home. Thanks again to Jason for checking in on us, going above and beyond with a personal email with recommendations - we really appreciated it. We absolutely recommend Bumble Cottage!

A comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a good location

The cottage is very cosy, tucked away just off the main road. It is very comfortable, perfect to return to after a busy day exploring the area. The terraced garden is a real sun trap so we made the most of it when the weather was good. Combe Martin is a great location, close to Exmoor for lovely walks and not far from the wonderful beach at Woolacombe. Communication with the host worked well and the instructions for arrival and about the property were clear. We had a very enjoyable few days and hope to return - highly recommended.

We had an excellent stay at this cottage. It was well equipped and so cosy. It would be helpful if you could give some info on places to park a second car, e.g the car park by the church etc. But we had a great stay and we would definitely stay again! Thankyou
