Family get together

Beautiful Wedding Weekend

Great Family Getaway!
Posted May 30, 2024 on HomeAwayWe (2 sets of grandparents, 1 set of parents, 13 & 9 year old) had a fantastic 3 day weekend at the cabin.
Property owner was easy to deal with. Everything was very clean. The common spaces (both indoor and out) were even better than expected. Other than a quick trip out for ice cream, we just enjoyed the comfortable and spacious surroundings to play games and relax. Everything was very well stocked-plenty of consumables such as TP/paper towels/soap that some rentals provide only small starter amounts of and lots of fun adds like a cornhole set and specialty drinkware.
Minor recommendations for the owners... The kitchen was generally well stocked with dishes/utensils but a true skillet would be a nice add, as well as a plastic spatula. We also had plenty of bath towels, but could have used more handtowels.
Minor warning to potential renters... There is plenty of space for sleeping if your party is flexible-including lots of extra bedding as well as comfortable extra mattresses and pullouts. That said, if you have specific plans/people that require a bedroom with a door that shuts, be aware that the second actual bedroom is very small and 3 of the 4 sides of the bed touch a wall. This was not workable for the older couples in our party because they get up frequently during the night and aren't mobile enough to continuously crawl across one another. This was the only issue of something being less than we expected, but was fine with the other available options.
