Charming, lovely, full of character. We especially appreciated the kindness and assistance of the hotel manager in so many respects. Would absolutely stay here again.

Some of the staff were incredibly rude. I arrived early afternoon, you have to ring a bell to get in. I rang 3-4 times, no response. Then, a female employee came to the door, she was leaving for the day. She saw me there with three pieces of luggage and without saying a word she shut the door in my face and proceeded to go home. On my last day, I was having breakfast at around 9. Breakfast ends at 10. An employee (probably the same, not sure) came up to me a said dryly in Spanish: "Sir, check out is at 10:30". I got the message and went for my luggage. At checkout, I asked her to call me a taxi. Response: "You can hail one yourself in the street". No wonder the hotel was pretty much empty. NEVER again.

Sr Michele: Soy la persona que lo recibió el día que llegó, y no es verdad lo que dice. Usted llegó temprano esa tarde, le ofrecí ayudarlo con su equipaje y lo hice, cuando lo acompañé hasta su cuarto. Es mentira que me retirase a mi casa, cuando yo misma hice su registro formal, le cobré el alojamiento al hacer el check in, le entregué su llave y luego lo acompañara hasta su habitación, llevando una de sus maletas.
En cuanto a la persona que le respondió acerca del taxi, lamentablemente en Huaraz no existe servicio de taxi por teléfono. Solamente se puede conseguir uno esperándolo en la calle. Puede ser que hubiese aspectos del personal que no le gusten, pero la mentira no es el camino. Y nuestro hotel no estuvo vacío ese día, mi estimado señor. Había un grupo muy grande de gente muy amable que estaba también en el hotel.

Quiet, neat, and essential

Pour : Common areas, quiet, gardens, staff courtesy and helpfulness.
Contre : Bring back the gym...
Emplacement : The Colomba is located just outside the area where the Huaraz "action" takes place,., and - trust me - that's very good value.
This hotel is an oasis within the chaos and noise of Huaraz. The common areas are impeccable, the carefully manicured gardens offer peace and quiet in stark contrast with the world "outside". Staff always polite and very helpful. Said that, do not expect luxury, or outlandish amenities. My room was fairly small, WiFi was coming and going, the gym was under construction - but you really need to put this within the context of the surroundings and of the price you're paying. I've also checked out the location and exterior looks of a couple of other "popular" hotels in Huaraz.... if you like to get some sleep and relaxation after a long hike on the mountain, you'll like the Colomba....

Cozy and comfortable stay in Huaraz!

Pour : The gardens and the large beddroom.
Emplacement : It is well located, close to the main street. There are lots of shops and tour agencies close by.
I stayed two nights at Colomba during my trip to Huaraz.
It is a simple, but very cozy place.
The bed was great, big room and a nice hot shower. The green all around really looks an Oasis in the middle of the city and provides you with a very relaxing view.
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
I recommend this hotel and I would certainly go back there!

Publié le 29 sept. 2014 sur Hotels部屋は豪華というわけではありませんが、必要なものがそろっていて、湯沸しポットもあるなど気配りもあり、過ごしやすかったです。ホテル内は中庭があり、以外と広かったです。ワラスの小さな町における宿としては十分なレベルと思います。
