Beautiful Mountain Getaway
Publié le 1 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place is a gem! First holiday without our young adult kids and we decided to make it special. The cabin was spacious, comfy, and well-equipt. We loved the quiet setting with the sound of the river and scenic mountain views. We found the Heybrook Ridge via Leovy Trail and it was a gorgeous hike. Hot tub was a nice treat! Highly recommend!!

Thanks, so much, for deciding to stay at A Cabin On The Sky for your Thanksgiving holiday. As a founding member of the Friends Of Heybrook Ridge it brings me satisfaction hearing that folks are enjoying the hike up to the viewpoint through forest rather than looking out at acres of stumps.

Beautiful place to stay!

The cabin is immaculate with everything you could need or think of to make your stay complete. We enjoyed the hot tub even in the terrential rain we had. We reserved it again for early 2025. Boy howdy, there sure isn't any confusing the season up here. Once the Autumn switch got flipped the rains arrived,
the river levels have come up and with it so have the salmon and the Bald Eagles.

Honeymoon Getaway
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cabin was an absolute dream! The setting was so serene and peaceful, with the sound of the water flowing by as we fell asleep with the windows open—truly magical. Waking up to the breathtaking views from the bedroom window made each morning feel special.
The cabin had all the thoughtful touches you could need, and the bed was incredibly cozy and comfortable. We loved every minute of our stay and have already decided to come back for our 5-year anniversary, hopefully for a longer stay to soak in even more of this beautiful spot. Highly recommend!

The salmon are returning which means the eagles are also coming back for the Winter. I have yet to see one this season. There has been an osprey in the skies these past few days and it is not uncommon to see Peregrine Falcons that nest on the cliff face.
Glad to hear you took advantage of the abundant hiking opportunities that are nearby. Fall is a great season to get out and about. I hope to hear from you again.
