Ward, I am sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay. I do apologize the dock & hoist installer was not able to have these items installed in time for your stay. As we discussed, I had contacted the dock & hoist installer months in advance. I had no reason to believe this would not be done in time. I continued to work with the installer right up to the day you left to try and get the dock & hoist installed. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions this was not able to happen. I sent you a message through VRBO 5 days prior to your arrival regarding the situation with the dock & hoist and continued to keep you updated during your stay. I am sorry you & your group were disappointed, I can understand wanting to be able to use these items. Especially if the weather had been more accommodating for you that weekend. Please note you were compensated because of this issue. As for the other items you state- I allowed an early check for your group. (as well as a late check out). The beach chairs were not out yet when you arrived because you arrived early. All beach chairs were brought out the day you arrived, just as pictured on VRBO. The slate patio with fire pit at the lake was accessible during your stay. All arcade games were working at check in. If a game stopped working during your stay, you did not reach out to us to let us know there was an issue. We would have come out and addressed the issue if this was the case. It is not advertised in the description that shampoo or shower gels are provided. It clearly states hand soap is provided in all bathrooms as well as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, towels & bedding. It is made clear the home sits on a bluff in the description of the property- "The property—which includes the exquisitely constructed 9,000+ square foot main residence—is located on a scenic bluff at Red Pine Point, a naturally beautiful area offering gentle westerly winds and breathtaking sunsets.". There is also a link to a YouTube video that showcases the beauty of the property & lakeside amenities. I do hope that if you continue to book stays through VRBO you will take the time to fully read the description & view all pictures & video's provided. There is no other home for rent like this in northern Michigan. This is the only home in the area that offers a theatre room, bar, arcade games, sauna, steam room and lake access. Any other home at half the price is just that, half the home. It's unfortunate that you felt that not having the dock & hoist in the water or that the compensation provided to you was not enough to leave an honest review of the home & it's amenities.
