5 minutes from the border. Unexpected surprise by the brand new feel of the place with a distillery to boot. Would definitely stay again. Staff was excellent and comfy beds!

Was so much more than i anticipated! Just a hidden gem in an otherwise unremarkable area. It is close to RR tracks but it didn’t bother us at all. We ate at the restaurant and food was very good. We walked to water and around area. Band on patio next door was good and sunset over Rainy Lake is always fantastic on a clear evening. Will definitely return when in the area!

Expect train noise during the night- lighting could be better in room, lamps awkward to operate, lamp over bed unclear how to operate, most rooms have a full-length mirror these days. Novel theme

Didn't like the unprofessional gal that was at the desk during my check out. Teach them how to interact with customers instead of letting them just stand there waiting for a head nod or acknowledgment that they exist. Improve on this as I have seen other reviews with dissatisfactory staff issues. Also, if someone is coming down the hallway, maybe the maid staff could move their cart as a courtesy. Again, issue with who you are hiring as staff to represent the impression of your hotel.
