Great spot
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was a little more "rundown" then expected based off the photos but it was clean and have everything we needed. We had a great time and were closed to everything. Communication was easy with the owners.

fun and cozy stay in the woods
Publié le 18 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst, a recommendation to future guests - try to get there while it is light out - the house is very hard to find in the dark (but maybe it was me). We made good use of the outdoor fire pit and there was available wood to burn. We were not quite alone in that there was a family across the street (which made me feel better) The beds were all different - the master bedroom was super comfortable but my friend sleep in a room that had an air mattress. It was OK. We found beautiful places to walk the dogs nearby. We were 35 minutes from the Fryeburg Fair - one of our reasons for going and we were only 15 minutes from the town of North Conway where there were fun places to shop and eat. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the house. (note: the bathroom is on the main floor so keep in mind if you have bad knees.

Great Location for Fall Vacation

Great house
Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HomeAwayNice private house in a great neighborhood close to town. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful on the phone. TIP* google maps GPS takes you to the wrong location so I would suggest using Waze. Overall a great experience and would return.

As described and close to everything but enough space to ourselves

Great Location, Very Private
Publié le 19 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was very clean and the location is central to the area. The listing indicates central air conditioning but window units are provided, not central ac. The window unit downstairs is too small for the space. Also the pool table was too large for the room so we couldn't enjoy that amenity.

Weekend getaway in June
Publié le 17 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was easy to find the house and the interior was clean. Unfortunately half the house didn’t have working lights, including the single bathroom, the kitchen, and some of the lights in bedrooms. The worst part was the kitchen appliances weren’t working either, including the fridge. That led us to having to buy a cooler and ice to store the already bought groceries. We did find 2 main breakers but all were fine as far as we could tell. We attempted to reach out to the host, but never got a response via email or phone call. There was no AC as advertised, but we were able to keep some windows open. We were not expecting to be woken up by a rooster that lived across the street, however that is not the host’s fault. Just an FYI if you like to sleep in. The exterior, especially towards fire pit, was very overgrown … more than just from a little sun and rain. We chose not to use it for that reason alone. Overall, I don’t recommend staying here for the amenities listed.

Here are some insights from the homeowner:-The electrical issue was not reported during your stay. Upon inspection by our property maintenance team, we discovered that a lightning strike had damaged the grounding cable. We promptly had our electrician resolve the issue to ensure safety.-While we strive to maintain the property in top condition, natural events can sometimes occur beyond our control. We assure you that the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained.-Regarding the overgrown grass, it was a result of recent rain, which delayed our landscaper. However, the lawn was mowed promptly on the day of your check-out.We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide an even better experience in the future.
