Would NOT Recommend: Not worth it
Publié le 30 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWould not recommend staying at this rental. Is not worth the price. House not clean, just slight surface clean, dusty, dirty. Looks like deep clean not done in years. Oven hasn’t been cleaned in months, if not years. One of burners not working right. Vent on hallway wall absolutely filthy; mildew and dust behind beds in basement. Strong gross smell in basement. Main toilet top floor didn’t flush properly. Monday a septic guy came out with maybe 40 min of warning, so the previous renters must have complained about the smell and the toilet as well. Master onsuite dusty and shower stall rusty and moldy, dirty. Squeeking doors all over; decks and yard not swept and cleaned up; Barbeque real dirty; propane tank for outside heater empty; ping pong net wrecked (not useable); can’t use horseshoes as no sand and grass grown in; garbage bin full (not emptied); playhouse had nothing to play with in it, just a little table; fridge not cleaned and all the stuff still in the door from previous renters; washer and dryer not wiped clean. Overall we were not impressed. Photos do not match discrimination, looks like the photos were taken years ago.

In all my years of being a property owner, it surprises me that all summer we can get solid 5 star ratings, then somehow get a 2 star? We have used the same property manager and cleaning service for years now and our guests usually rave about how clean it is. I've just found than some groups are just never happy no matter what we do, and this guests in particular never contacted us once during their stay to say anything. We would have been happy to send our cleaning crew over to make everything right for them, instead, they demand a refund, or they will write a bad review.
Yes, the septic tank needed to be serviced during there stay, but its just part of the regular maintenance, and it takes 20 min, and did not disrupt the guests because it is accesses at the far side of the lot.
We have consistently been the number one rental in Windermere for years now, and have the ability to host large groups that thoroughly enjoy the property and the location.

Great for Kids
Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayJust a few things to note. The property location is good and easy to find. Private as well. The building however could use some maintenance. I had to repair a corner cupboard that was falling off the hinges as well as one of the control knobs for the stove fell off ( one backing screw of two missing- reinstalled) Lighting in Master bedroom is poor- dim and second light was missing a bulb as well. Kids loved the space outdoors- a highlight for sure. Kitchen was very well equipped and we thank you for that. Pool table was very fun! Air conditioning would be a plus to install.

After the end of a busy summer, these easy to remedy issues were overlooked, but we do have a local maintenance guy that would pop over asap to address these issues had we known. I am available 24/7 to our guests so we can make things right, but at no time did these guests say that there was an issue. We can do better in the future.

Small issue at check in but no complaints as the issue was solved in a reasonable time

Great home for family get together
