Short stay
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWas a lovely house very clean but was not disabled friendly as i was led to believe, i sat on the bench outside front door and fell as it was in desperate need of repair at the back door the wooden rail was unsafe and wobbly which was very concerning to me and guests as i dont have much mobility and it was the only area for smoking, the hall and doorways weren't adapted for my zimmer frame and made it very difficult for me to move around and caused a lot of pain and discomfort for me.I also broght to his attention the bathroom was not disabled friendly at all there were no grab rails the shower had no disability seat resulting in two out of three of us not getting a shower for three days

Thanks for the review. As I responded to you... The house is disabled friendly as it has a ramp to the door and accessible for a wheelchair. There is grab rails along the side of the house and also a rail at the back door as you stated. Now you have raised it wobbles... I will certainly check this. These adaptations do class our property as disabled friendly and with it also being a bungalow. We have had others guest book our property for thia specific purpose.
Everyone's disabity needs are different and it's impossible to make the house perfect for everyone... it would be up to the guest themselves to check with a host beforehand if the property is ideal for them. The house amenities are listed accurately within the listing and you did not ask for anything specific to meet your needs, especially in regards to you needing a shower seat. We also have a bath in the bathroom which is ideal for people who may struggle to stand and for them to tend to their hygiene needs.
The width of the doorways and hallways are wide enough for wheelchairs but not sure what else you were looking for in regards to your Zimmer frame, as I know a previous owner had no issues moving around the property with her rolator frame.
Smoking can also be done anywhere outside the house and not just the back garden.
Apologies for the incident you had with the bench, we have now removed this from our property.
I would recommend as a host that for future holidays, you, as the guest fully check a listing and engage with the host that a property will meet all your disability needs.

Perfect for a family
Publié le 21 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThere were 4 adults and one 3yo. Our daughter was like “there are TOYS!!” It was the perfect place for us. A little yard and the hosts had good information on how to use everything. It was easy to get to and we would 100% stay again

Fantastic property! Andrew communicated with me from the day of booking! Instructions for checking in and out were very clear! I was concerned with booking a VRBO since we were coming from Texas but this booking more than met our expectations!

Wonderful house
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely home close to town and Loch Ness. Comfortable beds. Our daughter appreciated having toys to play with after traveling alone. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Inverness area.

Inverness and Beyond
Publié le 10 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was very comfortable, warm and homey. It was close to some very nice walks and to downtown. We took a few trips from here to explore the Highlands and it was so nice to come back to our “home”.

Wonderful stay!
Publié le 4 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay here. It was a great location for touring the Highlands. Andrew was a great host. Always quick to answer questions. If you have first choice of bedroom, choose the back bedroom as it has blackout drapes that come in handy when the sun is up at 4:00am!!!
The provided breakfast items were very much appreciated!!!
