Good balance of comfort and cost
Having read reviews left by other travellers I was slightly anxious before we arrived but I really didn't need to be. We paid a good price for two nights and were pretty happy with our stay. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was just fine, the breakfast was good too - not cold like others said. There is no parking onsite but that wasn't an issue for us, we charged the car nearby, parked onstreet and at our family's house. We'll be back to stay at the columba hotel again, as we regularly travel to Inverness and this has been the best balance of cost and comfort we've found so far and we've tried a few places. It's an old building so as long as you're not expecting a five star modern building it'll be just grand for most people

Cold and worn with friendly staff
Very few staff, who did what they could given the state of the building and the lack of heating. Gluten free options for vegetarian are limited and the food is brought in from a central kitchen. Definitely not on my return list.

Good hotel but heating needs overhauling.
The hotel is obviously old and in desperate need for renovation. When I checked into my room it was clean, bed comfortable but the heater had a life of its own. I called reception and a girl came up to the room and managed to get it working. She was lovely and it wasn't a problem which made all the difference. However when I got back to the room the heater had gone off again and I couldn't get it to work again but I was tired so went to bed.

Wont be back.
Wont be back again. Disappointing room, which was joined with another, hearing every word of anotger couple. The toilet makes a hrrendous noise each time its flushed aswell as making an awful sound while in the shower and they know this, couldnt care less. Found it to be dated and just really poor.

Hotel is great if your just looking for somewhere too stay for a night out in Inverness, rooms are pretty basic, but nice enough and we're clean. If you enjoy a freezing cold shower, you have hit the jackpot! Used laundry filled a corridor till late in the evening so if Olympic sports is your thing, this again is great too high jump over and get your olympic dream going If your not a morning person,the welcome too breakfast, won't be an issue, the young girl greeting you, will be very sulen and moody that your not too be disturbed by any jolly Ness. Breakfast is like you have been cat fished, looks good, but stone cold. The toast was the hottest thing there, purely because you made it freshly yourself.happy too say though they kept up with the bitter coldness of everything and the apple juice, really hit the spot being lovely and chilled šŸ˜

Good but few issues
First room didnā€™t have hot water but we were moved to another room. On the second day the keycard didnā€™t work so we couldnā€™t gain access to the room. Reception staff nowhere to be found, had to get bar man to call her. Iā€™ve stayed here multiple times and previous visits have been fine
