Nice building but the deposit ruined the stay

The building and the service in the restaurant was great. However it has a strange lobby arrangement with the front door being hare to find. Also they add a $100 per day refundable “deposit” to the charges. This is clearly a money grab by Sonesta considering that thy put the room charges through on my credit card and had no real reason to add this deposit. It ruined the whole stay since I felt I had made a very poor choice in accommodations and could not trust them. I will not be using their hotels in the future.

Nice, quiet & hotel near SNA-John Wayne airpor

My husband and I had a short 5-day getaway trip for relaxation & visit with my husband’s family. We arrived early, Daniel let us check in early (due to my excruciating headache from an extremely cold flight). The hotel has a very pleasant smell upon entry & very nice music at the entrance. The staff is courteous. During our stay, we were out all day & did not come back to the hotel until midnight almost every night, so we didn’t really get to use any of the hotel facilities. Overall, it’s a very clean, quiet, hotel surrounded by office buildings. Great location with a 7-minute drive to SNA John Wayne airport, 18-minute drive to Newport Beach - Corona Del Mar & Balboa Island, 15-min drive to Fashions Mall & South Coast Mall, and it’s very close to UCI. We will stay at Sonesta again the next time we are in Irvine. Please be advised there’s a $39/day parking fee & $20/day facilities fee (which we were told includes a $10 daily voucher for bkfst/drinks), but, we didn’t use it — unknowingly.

Clean, pool area and courtyard were nice. A bit loud being beside the freeway but overall a nice hotel.

Hidden charges! Resort like hotel supposedly. Parking $40? $10 voucher to use at restaurant expired next day? Yea not coming back
