Publié le 31 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat a beautiful home! We needed nothing, everything you can think of was supplied. It has a wonderful outlook, close to the beach and plenty of wildlife. It was lovely and quiet for those peaceful afternoons on the deck. The hosts kept in contact to see that everything was ok. I would highly recommend this destination. Thank you Kevin

Escaping suburbia
Publié le 15 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were able to disconnect from our daily habits, yet still enjoyed the delights of information technology. We were in the wilderness yet with all the creature comforts. A wonderful step off the daily grind and life hustle.

White Sands Island Beach Review

The facilities were good but feedback on a few things that could be improved: The dishwasher was small and didn't clean the dishes very well. The beds were not as versatile as we would like as most were queen and could not be separated. The BBQ was still quite dirty. We could not find the remote for the TV in the front games room and could not get the TV to work at all. It was quite cold at night and the blankets were a bit thin or not enough of them. But these were relatively minor issues as we enjoyed most things like the big deck, the cosy lounge area and dining area. Thanks for the stay.

Glad you enjoyed our huge deck and views, they really are fabulous. The beds are all queen sized as per our description . They are not hotel beds that can be divided. The property has underfloor heating, two reverse cycle air conditioners and electric blankets on the beds. We supply beautifully soft heavy velour blankets for extra warmth, which adds a little extra luxury through the cooler months. We personally cleaned before your arrival and spring cleaned the house to prepare for the busy summer season. All three televisions were checked and operational and remotes were with all tv's. White Sands at Easter
Publié le 16 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were a family group with multiple adults and a 1 year old. The house was great, extremely well equipped. Our wonderful host Kevin provided a cot and high chair. The house is really good. The veranda in particular is wonderful with great views. We would love to stay there again. Kevin was a great host and could not have been more helpful.

Relax and unwind in superior accommodation
Publié le 31 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayHouse very well equipped with aircon & fly screens at every window. Very spacious. The property title is slightly misleading as you cannot see the beach at all from the house and access to the beach is not easy as the track, although a boardwalk, is very narrow and somewhat overgrown with bushes. The beach was beautiful and we would have walked there more often if access had been easier.

Elayne sorry you felt mislead by our description. The house has a 180 degree views of the water of island beach. The sand is obscured by the sand dunes which you walk through to get to the beach. Kangaroo island council are very strict on not clearing the sand dunes to reduce erosion and the migration of sand. There is a tractor and boat access to the beach just at the end of our street. This is a slightly longer walk but very easy. Sue and Kevin

Fantastic house and location

Very comfortable and close to beach

We found the provision of beach equipment to be very handy as well.
