Summer Camp Vibes
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved staying at the Lakefront Retreat. The home itself is very spacious and feels like a week at summer camp. The views from the dock are beautiful and the kayaks were a nice touch. We came to explore Yellowstone so were out during the day but wished we had more time by the lake and a few more days. We would definitely recommend to anyone travelling this way.

Yellowstone Visit
Publié le 2 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe view of the lake and sunsets are amazing. The house is older and in need of some updating. It has a spacious living area and kitchen. Bedrooms are small but ok. Newer towels would be welcomed. Since there were 6 of us, it was inconvenient not to have a bathroom upstairs. Stairs are also steep and have to be careful not to hit head when going up and down.It would be a fun summer lake house to rent. Beautiful lake.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. it seems some of the structural features of the home were less desirable to you, but that you had a great time?
Yes our cabin was originally built in the 50's then the garage and upstairs bedrooms in the 80's. I added the 2nd bathroom in 2018. Every year I do something to update this older cabin. Last year it was all of the appliances, the year before was a new water pressure tank.I even purchased a window A/C unit for next summer. etc.
The views are definitely the selling point of this cabin and it's proximity to nature, trails for ATV, snowmobiles and biking/hiking along with Yellowstone National park.Oh yes and being lakefront, you can fish from the dock (without a license)and pull up a boat and dock it right at the cabin with the privately owned dock.
FYI There are 2 water heaters in this home so you never run out of hot water even with a party much bigger than 6. The towels get replaced with new ones every other year.
We strive for 5 star reviews. I hope you come again and enjoy the features that make this place a 5 star cabin.

Beautiful view. Great location, Cabin is worn & tired
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy granddaughter got a toothpick stuck in her barefoot & I found a dime on the floor which led me to believe that it had not been thoroughly vacuumed? Wall of windows was a fabulous view but windows were dirty & we couldn't find window cleaner. The kayak had a hole in it. The paddle board was waterlogged. I loved the notes everywhere but that also made me afraid I'd be charged for damage that we had not created. My daughters discovered other things needing attention but I'm not sure what they were.
I think I've listed the important items. We very much enjoyed the fire pit, deck & dock. The roominess of the place was great. The 2 bathrooms were very much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking, eating & serving dishes & utensils. The stove, fridge & microwave were wonderful, along with the island & dining table. Livingroom seating & tv were also nice & comfortable. Thank you.

Thank you for your attention to detail. The cleaners were informed immediately. Those kayaks had been set aside in the garage with notes on them that they were wating repair, seems like the notes maybe had blown away . I found the note left by myncleaners under a ladder in garage.Since then 2 new kayaks have been added to the fleet Of a kayak or paddleboard has water in it there is a little tab on the tip of the board/kayak that can be opened and then the board/kayak placed in a position to allow water to drain out for aprx 5 min or less then closed tightly. You are more than welcome to call or text me(the owner) upon arrival or anytime during your stay for any issue. I did not hear about any of these concerns until your review. We strive for a 5 star rating.
Sounds like some important things that made your vacation enjoyable were provided for ....a well stocked , appointed kitchen and roominess and comfort.

Cabin in the woods!
Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a great spot for our family gathering. The lakeside seating area was so nice and there was plenty of seating areas around the property for those who wanted sun or shade. The view from the cabin is lovely!

Thank you for sharing your experience. There are currently several lodgpole pines on property that provide shade. Outside there is A picnic table and two seating areas along with the built in seating on the lower deck. I am glad you had such a great time. Come again soon.

Great Family Time
Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HomeAwayEvery thing we needed was there. Swimming and paddling boat right off the dock was so convenient with the little ones. Great place to come home to after a day at the park. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Lakeside retreat
Publié le 31 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property is right on the lake with a great view. We came to fish the area as this is proxemic to many good streams. The cabin itself is quaint and well equipped for this type of activity. We had an early snowstorm for our visit, would like to see everything when the dock is in. This is a good place for sportsmen.
