Beautiful Sea Views on Islandmagee close to the Antrim Coast

Modern, spacious detached country retreat on picturesque Islandmagee. Set in a large plot with wonderful views overlooking the coast of Scotland. Peaceful and tranquil and with many a passing vessel the scenery is ever changing. Property is set away from the main road and with uninterrupted views over the nearby fields to Scotland. What better way to spend an afternoon on the patio taking in the tranquillity and the scenery that is on offer in front of your eyes. Beautiful beaches within walking distance include the award winning Browns Bay and the picturesque Port Muck with Muck Island nature reserve a few minutes drive away. Access to many activities located near by such as scuba diving, Golf course, horse riding, national trust walks and the new exciting Gobbins Experience are all a short drive away. Other local amenities include a quaint cafe and the best Ice cream served at the renowned Rinkha store.

Guests have access to the whole house and gardens and views!

As we are not around to see you in to the property we offer a self check in using a lockbox with a code to gain access which will be given to guests prior to arrival. There is a house manual for guest use with info on how things work etc hopefully providing everything you need to know to make your stay a pleasant one. However should you have any queries we are always at the end of a phone or e mail but we also have a wonderful neighbour who keeps an eye on the property and will only be too pleased to speak to you in person. At the end of your stay once the door is locked the keys must be placed back in the key safe. We keep in touch with our guests via e mail/text or phone to ensure that you have everything that you need for the duration of your stay.
Children over 7 years are welcome but must be supervised when outdoors as there is a stream running adjacent to the property
There is a 5 day minimum stay.

We have installed WIFI in the property and the password will be given to guests on arrival.

Nice and quiet holidays in a gorgeous place.

The cottage is really cosy, very clean, well equipped , confortable with a gorgeous seascape near a garden full of wonderful and colored flowers.

What a view!

Tidy and clean big house. More then enough room then the four of us needed. Good equiped and spacious kitchen. The dinner table could be a little bigger with more ( comfortable) chairs if you look at the space, but we were only with four people so for us it was good. Great surroundings, and again..... What a view!

Perfect getaway

Pleasant View is indeed a beautiful property. Roy & Sue have been fantastic hosts, communicating at every stage. Both check in & check out process was absolutely smooth. The property is impeccable, very clean and has everything and much more than you can expect. It was a very nice touch to keep milk, tea, coffee, cookies , some condiments etc., to welcome us. Perfect view

There are not enough adjectives to describe this property and the location! We usually stay in Ballygally, but needed a larger property, and this house and the land were perfect for our group of 5! The house had everything we needed - it was spacious, clean, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The kitchen is large and has everything you could ever want. The view is perfect! Roy and Sue were excellent to work with - quick response to any questions we had! Islandmagee has a Spar and Rinkha which both sell groceries so there is no need to leave the island except to visit tourist sites. The Coast Road and Belfast are both very easy to get to from Islandmagee. We are hoping to stay next summer for two weeks! Thanks for sharing your lovely property with us!!

Beautiful property.

We had a lovely stay at this very spacious property. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was stunning with beautiful sea views. Well located for visiting tourist spots, but far enough away to feel rural. We'll be back!

Certainly lives up to its name, Pleasant View

Pleasant View is one of the best self catering houses we've ever stayed in. The views are stunning. Didn't realise you could see Scotland that clearly. There is everything you need at the property, it's so comfortable and a real home away from home. You must drive a little way further down the road to Brown's Bay and also go to The Rinka for an amazing ice cream. Would highly recommend and it was a great base for our trip home to visit family after COVID. Thank you.

Lovely stay

We stayed for 6 nights. Very clean and spacious property in an excellent location. Quiet and peaceful. Views of Irish Sea and P&O ferry crossing. We had a lovely time. Lovely and spacious, good location to the coast. The property is lovely, nice wide open space and plenty of P&O ferries!! The water pressure was quite low, but didn't disturb our stay. We'd certainly recommend this property... Much appreciated cakes on arrival too!! 👍👍👍

Excellent location, beautiful house.

On arrival, absolutely gobsmacked, lovely clean & spacious house. Large gardens though weather meant we didn't use the outside seating. Well equipped kitchen. Only minor change we would have liked was a wall mounted mirror over the handbasin in the main bathroom. Overall great stay, hope to be back again soon.

Can't get much better than this

This was perfect for us! The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Location is absolutely gorgeous. Such a nice quiet place to spend the week but, still fairly close to Belfast that it wasn't a bad drive to get to the city. Roy and Sue were great to work with. Can't recommend this place enough!

Peaceful, scenic, relaxing and a good base for N.I.

This is a lovely property in a great position overlooking the Irish Sea. We had fabulous views across to Scotland most days. We did a few walks on Islandmagee, and played some golf at Larne, a little 9 hole gem. The drive up to the Devil's Causeway on the Causeway Coastal Route is superb. The Titanic Museum in Belfast is also a great day out. The locals were all very friendly and welcoming, and the owners very friendly and helpful. A fabulous relaxing holiday and a property we would definitely consider staying at again.

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped.

An extremely comfortable, clean and well-equipped housewith plenty of space inside and out. It was lovely just to sit outside looking over the garden towards the sea and to hear nothing. The house was easy to find from the directions given by the owner, and although we didn't need it, it was good to have the owner's contact details just in case. The bottle of wine and biscuits waiting for us were a kind touch and much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable to spend a few days or weeks.
